Responsible for the safe transportation of students to and from our centers. Perform safe daily operation of school bus to transport students to and from centers according to an agency-established route. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations; driver will be responsible for any fines incurred due to failure to abide by aforementioned laws. Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections in accordance with state laws. Ensure safety and emergency procedures are followed, including conducting routine evacuation drills. Communicate mechanical problems to the Bussing Manager. Perform daily housekeeping to maintain a clean interior free from clutter and debris. This includes sweeping the floor, throwing away trash left on the bus, and cleaning the windows/windshield and exterior lights. Regularly check the vehicle's fuel level, ensuring the tank is never left below 1/3 tank of fuel. Maintain the confidentiality of our students and families at all times. Ensure student safety at all times. This includes confirming that no body parts or other items should be in aisleways while the bus is in motion.
