About the Role:

Position Summary
This is a professional position responsible for independently performing a variety of duties related to quality improvement and enhancement of provider service delivery practices, training and technical assistance, researching provider related complaints, ensuring providers who are not in compliance submit and follow a plan of remediation which is responsive to cited deficiencies, directing providers to the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) when billing discrepancies are identified, documenting communication with providers and stakeholders to address identified concerns, collaborating with external stakeholders including the Quality Improvement Organization (QIO), Medicaid Program Integrity (MPI) and the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit ( MFCU) as while upholding HIPAA requirements.
The Work You Will Do
Review the QIO reports and identify deficiencies needing correction. Notify the provider of deficiencies needing correction and provide a plan of remediation template for provider completion.
Review the provider plan of remediation to ensure all deficiencies are remediated within required timeframes and add remediation activities onto the remediation tracker.
Follow up with the provider to ensure all rights and health and safety alerts are addressed within required timeframes.
Follow up on any provider complaints received. Ensure any identified client health and safety issues are immediately addressed.
Require a plan of remediation for all verified complaints.
Add the complaint onto the remediation tracker.
Conduct wellness visits within 72 hours as assigned for allegations of Abuse Neglect or Exploitation (ANE) in APD licensed facilities, Adult Day Training programs and supported living arrangements using the wellness visit template.
Assist in completion of the Provider Adverse Action Request Form for request for administrative complaints or provider terminations.
Ensure that a Corrective Action Plan is generated for all deficiencies involving APD licensed facilities in annual QIO reviews.
Collaborate with the APD waiver team and clinical team in researching complaints.
Collaborate with external agencies (MPI, QIO, MFCU) in addressing provider performance concerns.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Awareness of delegable duties and functions allowed to be performed by dental assistant.
* Assist in clinical procedures and treatments.
* Learn and comply with Coast's administrative procedures.
* Learn and comply with OSHA laws and safety guidelines.
* Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
* Learn and comply with state and Federal infection control standards in the dental office and operatories, including but not Iimited to: wearing protective barriers such as gloves, scrubs, and eye wear; disinfecting and steri Iizing instruments and treatment areas; and disposing properly of contaminated or bio-hazardous waste/materials.
* Insure review and completion of documentation, including but not limited to: accurate and current medical history, medical alerts, and signed Consent forms.
* Document/chart all dental procedures performed during each patient visit according to dentist's instructions and legal requirements.
* Welcome and escort patient in reception to and from the treatment areas. Schedule appointments and assist in appointment confirmation calls.
* Effectively provide dental education and information to insure patient awareness of dental health and continuing treatment.
* Effectively present to patient in professional and confidential manner dental treatment plan and proposed plan for continuing treatments.
* Understand and explain insurance benefits and financial options to patients in nonclinical terms.
* Ensure operatories are appropriately equipped and stocked with inventory and re-order when necessary.
* Maintain equipment protocols, including but not limited to: clean evacuation system, lubricate and maintain dental hand pieces, clean and maintain radiograph processors, monitor and clean equipment, clean dental lab plaster traps and maintain clean office environment.
* Notify Office Manager of equipment failure or general safety concerns.
* Assist with laboratory duties as necessary.
* Recognize signs of a dental emergency, and insure proper and timely response and notification to patient, staff, and emergency medical personnel when necessary.
* Understand and agree to maintain production standards.
* Effectively utilize and maintain a system of contact for patient follow-up/re-care.
* Maintain professional working environment within office team.
* Attend and participate in morning huddles and regular office meetings.
* Adhere to uniform attire and basic personal hygiene standards per Company policy.
* Attend continuing education and training seminars as scheduled.
* Understand and abide by HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality.

Direct Support

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED (required); Associates or Bachelors degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field (preferred)
Must be 21 years or older
Possess a valid and current Florida Drivers License with a clean driving record
Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with individuals with intellectual, developmental, or behavioral disabilities (including children, adolescents, or adults)
Ability to pass Local Law & Level II background check
Availability to complete all required training, including crisis intervention, medication administration, and first aid/CPR certification

The Caregiver is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of the Office Manager, and Administrator, performs many personal care services essential to meet the client's needs. The Caregiver is responsible for observing clients and their response to care, and documenting/reporting these observations. Position Responsibilities:
Provides client care as directed by the assigned supervisor.
