Customer Service / Patient Care:
* Provides / role-models superior customer service; works closely with Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Pharmacy Care Representatives (PCRs) to provide excellent patient care
* Promotes / fosters 'Greet, Ask, and Thank' and H-E-B telephone strategies; directs calls to appropriate Partner
* Receives written prescriptions from customers; obtains / verifies demographic and profile-related information; receives refill prescription numbers (by phone and at drop-off counter) and obtains profile-related information; processes written prescriptions and refill numbers into RXEVO
* Generates prescription-related paperwork; files / retrieves / maintains prescriptions in the Will-Call area
* Uses RXEVO at point of sale (POS) system; ensures procedures are followed to deliver prescriptions to correct patients (name, number of orders per bag, etc.)
* Directs customers to counseling window for Pharmacist consultation
* Obtains /returns tills from bookkeeping; processes customer transactions at register
* Maintains manual signature capture receipts; scans into RXEVO in a timely fashion
* Properly processes / clears prepaid prescriptions
* Ensures all prescription deliveries are finalized; prints RX delivery ledger daily
* Completes contact patient queue
* Files / maintains prescription hard copies
* Assists Technicians and Pharmacists to ensure complete, efficient production for the shift
* Participates in / assists with Rx screening events, flu shot scheduling, immunization scheduling, and future medication therapy management (MTM) events
* Checks in / assists customers receiving vaccines using comprehensive vaccine manager (CVM) tool or other professional services apps
* May participate in other professional services activities
Inventory Management:
* Receives OTC inventory; checks delivery for accuracy compared to invoices, contacts H-E-B warehouse or vendor if inventory is short
* Stages OTC inventory; breaks out into stocking sections, including front-of-pharmacy items (e.g., OTC, diabetic supplies)
* Complies with Return to Stock SOP to locate prescriptions via inventory management queue
* Ensures caps, vials, bags, etc., are correctly stocked
* Records fridge and freezer temperature logs
Compliance / Sanitation:
* Complies with HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and confidentiality of personal health information (PHI)
* Complies with TSBP rules and H-E-B SOPs to ensure patient counseling is provided on applicable prescriptions
* Complies with SOP to process PSE transactions; follows manual process only if electronic system unavailable
* Complies with Central Fill check-in procedures
* Ensures department and work area (inside and outside) comply with presentation, organization, sanitation, and maintenance guidelines
* Removes trash from department; complies with trash compactor processes
What is your background?
* Minimum age 18 (mandatory)
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Experience in retail; experience in pharmacy a plus

Job Summary and Qualifications

Verifies prescription order from the provider in Pharmacy Software System, Clinical Practice Management System, Electronic Health Record and DAP Software System.
Screens and verifies prescription information/demographics.
Obtains patient information on allergies.
Verifies/updates patient demographic information at each visit and updates in the Pharmacy Software System or DAP Software System.
Verifies registration period (i.e. sliding fee) is current and requests a 30-day extension if needed.
Requests patient's insurance information and ensures information is correct in the Pharmacy Software System. If information is incorrect and/or missing, properly documents information for entry into the Pharmacy Software System or DAP Software System.
Bags prescription orders and stores the bags in appropriate area accordingly.
Distributes completed prescription order to the patient.
Refers all counseling to the pharmacist.
Retrieves bags not picked up after 10 working days for Return to Stock Processing.
Pre-collect payment for special order medications if necessary.
Reconciles daily transaction reports and submits deposits along with Journal Cash Analysis report to the fiscal office.
Responsible for the security of all money within the work area.
Familiar with Pharmacy Formulary, Pharmacy Patient Programs, Pharmacy and DAP Workflow.
DAP client screening, eligibility, application assistance and medication management process of ordering, tracking, receiving and distribution.
Assist in the preparation of monthly reports and audits.
Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate from an accredited high school or GED graduate.
Experience in this field is preferred.
Must have a current BLS certificate.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Quality Assurance: Performs high quality nuclear medicine, PET, and theranostic procedures (planar, SPECT, and SPECT/CT), according to exam protocol, in a timely manner. Systematically evaluates the quality of imaging procedures and follows established standards and procedures. Maintains equipment by performing quality control (Q.C.) as required by imaging manufacturers, radiation materials license (RAM), or American College of Radiology (ACR). Works with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal operational capabilities of equipment.
Caring Practices: Communicates with patients to identify patient service requirements, ensure correct exam is performed, and establish rapport with patients and others. Instructs and communicates with patients and their family, in accordance with HIPAA, regarding the test to be performed and assesses patient's ability to tolerate exam.
Patient Safety: Explains the procedure thoroughly to put patients at ease. Protects patients and team members by adhering to safety requirements, infection-control, protocols, and techniques. Prepares patient and area for procedure by positioning patient, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into specified position. Uses proper aseptic or sterile techniques as needed when setting up and performing invasive procedures and maintains hand hygiene requirements.
Radiation Safety: Safeguards patients, team members, and themselves by adhering to all radiation safety requirements, policies, protocols and techniques. Verifies that correct radioactive drug has been selected for the exam or treatment. Screens patients appropriately for pregnancy status prior to the start of the exam or treatment. Safely administers radiopharmaceuticals and adjunctive medications per protocol. Educates patients with radiation safety techniques pre and post exam or treatment. Safely follows radiation disposal guidelines.
