The Warehouse Supervisor will lead a shift of warehouse staff for the new Chick-fil-A Supply Distribution Center (DC) in Denver, CO. This individual, in collaboration with other leaders, will be responsible for executing safe and effective operations that meet the needs of the organization and its employees. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this person will lead a team dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service for Chick-fil-A restaurant Operators while ensuring safety and achievement of several critical key performance indicators (KPIs). Responsibilities
Motivate, staff, schedule, and support a dynamic team responsible for receiving, picking, loading, and completing other warehouse tasks by creating workflow and eliminating waste in the operation
Oversees daytime transportation operation performance to include audits and observations of routes, when required
Closely collaborate with leaders and team members to identify and resolve operational bottlenecks
Carefully monitor expenditure data and support budget management
Recruit, train, and develop a strong team
Collaborate with the warehouse manager regarding staff performance; identify and drive areas of improvement; and recognize team members' outstanding performance
Act as a liaison to Restaurant Services, balancing the needs of the Operator with the capabilities of the operation
Implement, manage, and improve distribution center operations
Deliver high service levels to Operators and achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Work closely with the DC Leadership Team, CFA Supply Services, and various business partners to ensure optimal alignment and collaboration
Support the Chick-fil-A vision and strategy by building a culture that aligns with the Chick-fil-A Supply values of care, safety and excellence
Complete other activities as required
Minimum Qualifications
High school degree or similar
3+ years of experience in warehouse leadership
Demonstrated experience with and functional knowledge of food service distribution, including warehousing, operations (including Six Sigma and Lean), engineering standards, warehouse equipment, and performance metrics
Working knowledge of innovations in supply chain and warehouse operations
Knowledge of and ability to ensure compliance with general safety standards, quality specifications, and governmental requirements
Ability to complete physically demanding work, including consistently lifting up to 60 pounds
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
Demonstrated ability to value both relationships and results and to put others above themselves

* Designing effective communication strategies to reach drivers daily
* Leading daily scheduling for outbound transportation operations
* Working with the safety leader to ensure compliance of outbound transportation with federal, state, and local government regulations (e.g., driver logs, DOT regulations, etc.)
* Supporting regulatory and internal audits of operations
* Evaluating operational results and communicating those results to senior Transportation and DC leadership
* Coordinating and communicating outbound transportation equipment needs to local vehicle maintenance teams
* Delivering industry-leading on-time delivery and customer satisfaction rates
* Balancing the needs of the Operator with the capabilities of the operation
* Supporting Chick-fil-A vision and strategy
* Utilizing and managing TMS, Telematics & proprietary Delivery Applications
* Completing other activities as deemed valuable by management.
Minimum Qualifications
* 7+ years of experience in outbound distribution operations, transportation, food distribution, and/or private fleet responsibility
* Strong aptitude to think critically, solve problems, drive improvements, and motivate Team Members in a professional and respectful manner
* Demonstrated functional knowledge and expertise in distribution, including outbound transportation procedures and regulations, routing, transportation equipment, and performance metrics
* Working knowledge of innovations in outbound transportation and equipment
* Knowledge of and ability to ensure compliance with general safety standards, quality specifications, and governmental requirements
* Ability to work a swing shift and be present to lead your team at night on the majority of working days
* Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and communication skills
* Strong ability to negotiate and resolve conflict by navigating confrontational situations to ensure all parties are treated with honor, dignity, and respect
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access; experience with ERP, WMS, and TMS solutions
Preferred Qualifications
* 10+ years of leadership experience in a distribution or manufacturing with outbound transportation, food distribution, and private fleet responsibility
* Experience with private fleet operations
