**Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Receives, inspects and evaluates all raw materials. Assists in the development, revision, etc. of raw materials as needed.
+ Responsible for completing daily assignments to meet customer demands for production.
+ Stages materials for daily production demand and weighs all production batches including additives.
+ Assists in the training of any new employees as needed.
+ Reads and interprets water charts for production recipes.

+ Reviews blueprints/sketches of shape specifications. Compares assembled forms and finished shape measurements to blueprints to evaluate quality.
+ Uses lifting equipment to move shapes and forms as needed. Uses hand tools and power tools to finish shapes prior to drying.

The Extrusion Production Technician is responsible for prepping and operating machinery used to produce plastic profile products in a manufacturing environment. Work Environment:
The Quality Technician will work within our facility interacting with historic machinery which often involves proximity to heat, noise, debris, conveyance systems and other potentially dangerous equipment. The Quality Technician will encounter high levels of floor and overhead traffic due to material transportation throughout the facility which can cause high levels of vibration and airborne disturbances. There are areas of paved and unpaved walkway, active shipping lanes and occasionally standing water to be cautious of.

Job Summary
The Quality Technician position is responsible for performing all duties necessary to inspect and verify materials and products meet the applicable requirements and to record all results and notify appropriate personnel of any discrepancies. This can include performing measurement system analysis, dimensional studies, auditing, root cause and corrective actions, first article inspections, receiving inspection or becoming a designated supplier quality representative.
Fulltime 1st Shift - OT as required.
Responsibilities:
Be able to read and follow written instructions.
Proficient in the use of handheld measurement equipment such as Calipers, Micrometers, Indicators, etc.
Be able to read simple engineering drawings and interpret specifications.
Responsible for timely completion of assigned jobs
Comply with safety and OSHA regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Essential functions
* QA Techs are responsible for ensuring adherence to food quality and food safety rules and regulations as required by the quality standards and/or Safe Quality Food requirements
* Ensure all products being run conform to the product specifications as outlined in SAP by conducting analysis on raw deliveries, syrup batches, and treated water
* Conduct chemical and physical analysis on raw and intermediate processing materials including packaging materials and determine status of materials (acceptable or not)
* Maintain accurate, legible records of all tests and retests performed
* Work closely with all departments to improve quality, increase efficiencies, increase yields, and eliminate out of specification or damaged product
* Evaluate finished products against current standards by performing audits to monitor all aspects of finished product and packaging integrity
* Check process control parameters to assure proper equipment application and operation is being maintained by performing secure seal, closure torque, and seaming checks.
* Maintain laboratory cleanliness
* Complete special projects and other reasonable duties as assigned by senior support
