SUMMARY
Performs routine laboratory tests under close supervision to determine chemical or physical characteristics designated by clients.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Read and understand all analysis and safety standards in English, including ASTM, UOP, IP and other well-defined analytical standards and procedures used in the laboratory.
Assist senior laboratory personnel in setting up, adjusting and operating laboratory equipment for which the technician has been adequately trained and has been verified to operate correctly in accordance with applicable standards and sound laboratory practice.
Assist in or perform basic analytical tests from well-defined standards and procedures as assigned by the Laboratory Manager. Laboratory technicians must be verified to be able to perform all tests in accordance with applicable standards and sound laboratory practice.
Clean and sterilize laboratory equipment.
Assist in calibrating laboratory instruments for which the technician has been adequately trained and has been verified to operate correctly in accordance with applicable standards and sound laboratory practice.
Prepare chemical solutions according to standard formulas.
Exercise procedural, safety and quality requirements specified in Laboratory Manual #5, Safety Manual #7, and the Core Laboratories Safety and Environmental Manual, and company policies.
Attend training and pass appropriate examinations in petroleum, chemical and gas analysis, including Right-to-Know training, hazardous materials disposal, and other safety and compliance training required by applicable regulations.
Understand and be able to complete laboratory raw data sheets and make accurate entries into laboratory computer programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

The Leidos Cargo Mission Contract (CMC) currently has an opening for an entry level Decal Lab Technician to work in our Webster, Texas office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your fabrication and design skills to support flight hardware for NASA's International Space Station and Exploration programs, mockups, and trainers.
The Technician will assist the CMC Decal Operations team by providing hands-on manufacturing support to fabricate decals, labels, RFID tags, and placards products to our cargo and engineering teams through the use of hand tools, printing, metal photo processes, CNC cutting, and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags.
The Technician will also provide design support using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and NiceLabel software. The ideal candidate must be willing to embrace a culture of safety, showcase exceptional teamwork, problem-solving, and quality, excel when provided training, and work the necessary hours to complete tasks assigned within the provided schedule demands.
Key responsibilities include:
* Create artwork for decals using Photoshop, Illustrator, NiceLabel, and Zebra Designer software.
* Read and interpret information from Engineering Drawings and eLabel orders to produce decals, placards, labels, RFID tags, and graphics compliant with fabrication requirements.
* Produce decal products using various production processes and materials from start to finish.
* Perform quality checks on artwork prior to and post-production.
* Provide technical engineering support and perform steps via work authorizing documents.
* Support lab organization, maintenance, cleaning, and inventory as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
* High school diploma/GED, and at least 1 year relevant experience, education, or training, with the following:
* Experience or coursework in graphic design using Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).
* Familiarity with powered and unpowered tools for fabrication.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and implement requirements.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks.
Preferred Qualifications:

The Cardiac Cath Lab Technician plays multiple roles on the Cardiac Cath Lab team as the Cardiovascular technician during Cardiac Catheterization procedures. In both roles he/she demonstrates technical proficiency in all Cardiac Cath Lab procedures and equipment; applies anatomical and physiological knowledge to proficiently assist the Cardiologist or Electrophysiologist with providing cardiac patient care. He/she maintains good communication with the Cath Lab team to ensure proper equipment set up, accurate monitoring, and quality data collection.
Responsibilities:
* Demonstrates technical proficiency for all cardiac catheterization procedures while functioning in a primary role as a Cardiac Cath Lab Technician or Hemodynamic Recorder.
* Consistently and correctly identifies cardiac structures, coronary vasculature, and the associated disease processes.
* Practices radiation safety and observes all principles to ALARA. This includes a good knowledge of all regulations and requirements set forth by the Texas Bureau of Radiation Control and the Methodist Radiation Safety Committee and the proper use and storage of personal radiation badge.
* Assists the physician in obtaining or entering data into the Physiologic Monitoring System(s) for accurate assessment of left and/or right-sided Hemodynamic pressure measurements. Assures accurate information is gathered or entered for the calculation of intra-cardiac shunts, valve areas, and pressure measurements throughout the catheter path.
* Accurately reports Ejection Fraction by demonstrating proficiency in the assessment of Cardiac function, utilizing Left Ventricular Analysis program(s). Understands the disease processes that result in depressed Cardiac function such as: Coronary Artery Disease, Cardiomyopathy, Myocardial Infarction, Valvular disorders, etc.
* Consistently assures that Angiographic and procedural data is properly archived for long-term storage. Verifies the presence of all components of procedure information in both hard copy and computerized formats.
Qualifications:
* Two (2) years full-time Invasive Cardiovascular Technology experience with One of the following:
oAn Associate Degree or equivalent college hours (62 semester hours) in health, science, natural science, nursing, engineering, or any primary science or higher AND one (1) year (full-time or full-time equivalent) in Invasive Cardiovascular Technology.
oBaccalaureate degree in health, science, natural science, nursing, engineering, or any primary science AND six (6) months (full-time or full-time equivalent) in Invasive Cardiovascular Technology.
* A Graduate of an accredited (by CHEA, USDOE, or CMA) program in Invasive Cardiovascular Technology. Or a graduate of a NON-programmatically accredited program in Invasive Cardiovascular Technology which has a minimum of one (1) year of specialty training and includes a minimum of 800 clinical hours.
* Minimum License, Certificates, or Registrations Required: New hires must have ONE of the below listed certifications:
oRCIS (Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialist) from CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International)
