The Hartford Hospital Cath Lab is a high functioning, fast paced Cath Lab comprised of 5 Labs. Several types of complex cardiac procedures are performed in our Cath Lab, this includes structural heart procedures, some structural heart procedures are performed in the Hybrid OR in collaboration with the OR team. Great team work is not only encouraged but it is essential. The Interventional Radiology Technologist is an integral part of the Cath Lab team! He or she will develop a complex skill set that is not only valued by the entire team, but also contributes to positive patient outcomes. This technologist will learn to function in different roles during the invasive cardiac procedures. These roles are comprised of the circulating role, monitoring role, and scrub role. This individual will develop a comprehensive knowledge base of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
The technologist will learn to work with a wide array of equipment such as contrast injectors, ultrasounds, IVUS, mechanical thrombectomy devices and atherectomy supplies and become knowledgeable in a vast array of supplies including stents, balloons, catheters, coils, etc.
He or she will be responsible for entering patient information into the x-ray equipment, annotating, post processing and, sending patient images to the PACs system, adhering to the Radiation Safety and Standards such ALARA principles.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
Graduation from an AMA accredited Radiography program.
ARRT credentialed Radiology Technologist and CT Radiographer license.
Ability to work independently and is a team player.
Maintains education requirements per ARRT Standards.
CI or VI, Advanced certification by ARRT preferred, but not required.
Cath lab, interventional radiology or hybrid OR room experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities:
· Assists with cardiovascular procedures to analyze, diagnose and treat the cardiovascular system.
· Prepares patients for procedures. Reviews medical history, positions patients and cleans/shaves/numbs testing sites as appropriate.
· Interprets, describes and reports test results; recognizes errors and artifacts and reacts appropriately.
· Monitors patient prior to, during and after procedures and promptly reports any abnormal findings in patient's condition.
· Prepares and maintains equipment, supplies and lab area.
· Functions as part of the cardiovascular lab team, assisting the cardiologist and team leader in the performance of routine cardiac diagnostic procedures and in minor surgical procedures.
· Provides accurate angiographic image identification, processes cine- angiographic images, and determines appropriate image quality control.
· Maintains certification, meets CEU requirements, and stays current on cardiovascular scope. Cross training between Cath/EP labs may be required.
· Attends Cath interventional Meetings, Department/Staff meetings, and/or Ground Rounds in line with department/unit/organization standards and requirements.
· Maintains good rapport and cooperative relationships. Approaches conflict in a constructive manner. Helps to identify problems, offer solutions, and participate in their resolution.
· Assumes responsibility for performance of job duties in the safest possible manner, to assure personal safety and that of coworkers, and to report all preventable hazards and unsafe practices immediately to management.
· Comply with department/organization policies, procedures and practices to include timely reporting of changes in rhythm to appropriate designated leader of the unit/floor.
· Utilizes equipment to monitor patient, vital signs and alert nurses if any potential problems arise. Able to identify basic arrhythmia and notify nurses.
· Transports patients to and from units for Cardiac procedures. Follows Cath Lab/Hospital standards to prepare patient for Cardiac Invasive procedures, assisting in pre-procedure and post-procedure checks and preps.
· Monitors patient's pre/post diagnostic and interventional procedures.
· Orders supply, answers phones, books patient appointments and data as necessary. Keeps patients' areas clean.
· Comply with department/organization, policies, procedures and practices to include timely reporting of changes in rhythm to appropriate designated leader of the unit/floor.
· Other Duties as assigned.
· Follows safe guidelines and limitations for receiving, transporting, and stocking of intravenous (IV) fluids as related to specified essential job duties.
· On Call required.
· Structural Heart procedure experience preferred.
Qualifications
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Required Credential(s):
· Certified BLS Provider and ACLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Laboratory/Analytical Scientist will successfully organize daily activities which are effective, efficient, and aligned to tasks priority. A self-driven professional, this position will help in searching and applying new and innovative testing methods, and/or sample preparations. He/she will actively help to drive R&D team performance, to stay engaged and committed.
Primary responsibilities include:
Manages the 3-rd party testing on competitive Home Care products: National Brand (NB) and National Brand Equivalent (NBE), including samples preparation
Manages competitive Home Care products inventory and database
Follows Stability Protocol requirements - pulls out samples at the designated time intervals and prepares them for physical characteristics testing
Performs stability and analytical testing of lab batches, pilot batches, production batches and raw materials (if required) using traditional wet chemistry techniques and analytical instruments such as FTIR, HPLC/UV-Vis-ELSD, GC, HS-GC/MS, KF with Thermoven, Auto Titrator and other small instruments.
Collects, calculates or evaluates raw data and reports results according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) or methods in the laboratory books and electronic e-files
Ensures accurate data/results are generated during laboratory testing by performing laboratory equipment/instruments calibrations and/or settings according to the SOP
Prepares all standard and/or solutions required for testing
Participates in development of analytical and instrumental testing methods, methods transfer and methods validation
Maintains inventory of all consumables required for the instrumental and analytical testing
Maintains storage of standards and standard solutions in accordance with the internal protocols and safety guidelines
Maintains storage of raw materials, lab batches and finished products, including stability samples, in accordance with internal protocols and safety guidelines
Maintains inventory and storage of competitive products
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures and Policies and participate in all training sessions including self-development, safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System
Helps perform cleaning performance testing of competitive National Brand and National Brand Equivalent products/formulations
Initiates investigations for all out of specification results and reports findings
Ensures the laboratory is kept in a clean, orderly, and safe manner and reports any deficiencies
Performs Enzyme activity testing
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
Education - Bachelor's degree in Chemistry preferred
Experience - 2+ years of relevant laboratory and industry experience
Knowledge of testing methods and procedures used in the Microbiology Laboratory
Strong communication skills, flexibility and adaptability to changing tasks' priorities, attention to details, understanding the importance of meeting communicated timelines
Estimated annual base salary range for this position is $75,000- $85,000

At Stony Brook Medicine, a TH Clinical Laboratory Technologist is a valuable member of our team, who provides who provides clinical services to our patient population. Will maintain specific knowledge of safe laboratory practices as endorsed by the New York State Department of Health and Occupational Safety and Health Administration and conducts oneself in a manner consistent with those practices to ensure the safety of all lab personnel.
Qualified candidates will demonstrate superior patient care and possess outstanding communication skills while adhering to our high standard of excellence.
**This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and dedicated technologist as it is a challenging, yet rewarding, position in which you will perform high complexity testing while working closely with both physicians and patients.**
Special Coagulation/Special Hematology Duties
Perform high complexity coagulation testing using both manual and automated methods.
Perform assays using the ELISA method.
Perform assays consisting of multiple dilutions requiring impeccable technique.
Perform esoteric platelet aggregation testing.
Perform hemoglobinopathy testing.
Assist on bone marrow biopsy procedures and process the specimens obtained.
Assist in implementing and validating new procedures.
Actively engage in continuing education in order to enhance the department, including a willingness to attend conferences whenever possible.
Accommodate emergencies, if necessary, by adjusting work hours accordingly.
Line responsibility for the performance of clinical analysis in the Department of Laboratories.
Perform routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting as assigned according to established protocols to ensure proper instrument performance.
Adhere to all quality control policies and procedures.
Proficient in computer protocols as assigned.
Adhere to all SBUH and departmental policies and protocols
Interact in a professional manner with nursing staff, physicians, support staff, peers, patients, and other members of the hospital community.
Perform other clerical duties as assigned.
When Assigned

Incumbent will be required to work every other weekend. Pass days and holidays as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors' of Science degree in Medical Technology/Biological or Life Sciences. NYS License as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or documented eligibility.
SL-1: NYS licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or documented eligibility, including provisional/limited permit eligibility with 0-2 years demonstrated relevant experience.SL-2: NYS licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or documented eligibility, including provisional/limited permit eligibility with 3-5 years demonstrated relevant experience.SL-3: NYS licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or documented eligibility, including provisional/limited permit eligibility with a minimum 6 years demonstrated relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Three or more years full-time experience in a College of American Pathologists (CAP) accredited laboratory performing Hematology and Coagulation testing.
At least one year performing specialized testing such as factor assays, hemoglobinopathy evaluation, platelet aggregation, ELISA assays, or other relevant testing.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position is $87,394 - $110,838 / year.
The above salary range represents SBUH's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The specific salary offer will be based on the candidate's validated years of comparable experience. WHAT THE ROLE DELIVERS
Perform in process and final lot testing of plant product and compare against testing plans and specifications. Evaluate & test incoming raw materials against specifications. Maintain inspection, measuring and test equipment and perform verifications.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
· Follow safety and environmental standards of the Company.
· Maintain a clean lab that promotes safe, accurate, and efficient completion of quality tasks.
· Assure material is of acceptable quality by performing necessary lab tests/ inspections.
· Review analytical results to determine they are meaningful, accurate and completed in accordance
with the Control Plan.
· Advise Production staff when quality does not meet specifications or is trending in an undesirable
direction.
· Maintain the integrity of all quality testing by ensuring cleanliness and utilizing appropriate standards.
· Operating knowledge of all lab equipment including computer equipment & software.
· Perform special tests & inspections as directed.
· Inspect incoming material as described by procedure.
· Write legibly on critical inspection and testing records.
· Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
· Understanding of weights and measures

What Nuclear Manufacturing contributes to Cardinal Health Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment.
Nuclear Manufacturing is responsible for the manufacturing of time sensitive radiopharmaceuticals in an integrity driven, highly regulated environment (i.e. FDA, NRC, DOT) to support patient treatment through disease diagnosis, staging, and monitoring.
Schedule:
* 40 Hours per week
* Monday - Friday
* Must be willing to start working any 8hr shift between 8pm - 4am (first shift comes in at 8pm and last shift comes in at 4am on average).
* Must be willing to work weekends as part of a rotation, and holidays are contingent upon customer demands
* Candidate must be flexible to work different shifts, schedules, days and overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
* Successfully complete extensive training, including e-learning assignments and hands on components, to demonstrate and maintain proficiency
* Manufactures radioactive isotopes (includes synthesis set up, hot cell manipulations, distribution)
* Conducts quality control testing of each batch (utilizing gas chromatograph, dose calibrator, multi-channel analyzer, TLC plate scanner, high pressure liquid chromatograph, analytical balance, PTS, laminar flow hood and fume hood)
* Works in ISO 7 cleanroom to make product vials and customer vials for use in drug production
* Performs environmental and personnel monitoring in ISO 5, ISO 7, and ISO 8 environments
* Coordinates daily production run schedule based on customer and pharmacy needs
* Demonstrates strong documentation practices, oral communication, and writing skills. Performs clerical and administrative tasks, including maintenance of daily production records, report preparation and maintenance records
* Manages SAP Inventory (includes receiving materials, properly inspecting materials for use, and maintaining proper cycle counts)
* Performs daily radiation safety tasks, along with general lab cleaning
Qualifications
* High school diploma, GED or equivalent or equivalent work experience, preferred. Education in Sciences (Chemistry, Biology etc. preferred)
* 0-1 years of experience preferred
* Lab experience highly preferred
* Must be able to work overnight shift (Facility operates at night.)
* Prior experience in manufacturing, preferably in a controlled environment and/or regulated industry preferred
* Effective written and verbal English communication skills
* Able to repeatedly follow detailed processing instructions
* Ability to manage several tasks at the same time; Ability to evaluate operating conditions and exercise sound judgment and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage weight up to 75 pounds
