This position requires sitting or standing for extended periods in front of a computer or projection screens and the extended use of their voices.
Daily computer use is required, and sitting, standing, and walking are parts of the daily demands. Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of up to 20 pounds is necessary.

Requirements
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
MUST BE ABLE TO BE “ON-CALL” AND TRAVEL UP TO 75%
Minimum 3 years experience doing inspections, repairs, and maintenance on freight cars per AAR rules and regulations.
Minimum 3 years welding experience
Meet the requirements of AWS D15.1 for freight cars utilizing SMAW (Stick) welding on carbon steel.
Able to perform single cat air brake testing, troubleshooting and repair per AAR rule and regulations
Experience in jacking railcars, replacing wheelsets, rebuilding truck sets, coupler and draft gear replacement.
Must demonstrate mechanical and welding aptitude, as determined by Company leadership, to successfully perform and complete assigned tasks
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and also able to work independently without supervision
Demonstrated reliability
Must be trainable and coachable
