As CAD Designer, you are primarily focused on transportation safety infrastructure projects and offers a variety of design and drafting opportunities. You play a crucial role in producing 2-Dimensional drawings using AutoCAD drafting and Sigma NEST nesting software. You will be responsible for organizing and maintaining a digital drawing and cut file database for each project. This role requires a strong understanding of drafting and waterjet cutting processes to complete assigned tasks including 2D submittal drawings, design revisions, product part arrangement, packaging drawing production and PDF printing. Job Duties & Responsibilities: PRE JOB AWARD Work with the estimating department for review of connections & erectability issues. Review drawings and specifications for opportunities to provide VE and pitfalls related to structural steel connection design. Furnish estimate of Connection Design cost as required. This can include approximate estimates based on tonnage or hard costs from sublet connection engineers. Furnish preliminary connection design as needed for projects to be Bid.
