Responsible for collaboration and sharing of best design practices within the WEG Company **Major Areas of Accountability:** + Responsible for creating and maintaining standards, designs, drawings, and specifications for quotations, products, and aftermarket. + Responsible for creating project schedules to complete projects in required time. + Resolves production problems, and render technical and process assistance to shop. + Ensures manufacturability input provided by Manufacturing Engineering is incorporated into designs. + Provides support to Marketing on inquiries and new orders to assure technical and economic feasibility. + Performs other activities as required by the Leader or Product Engineering Manager. **Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:** + 2 years technical college, 2 years college pre-engineering, Drafting Certificate or equivalent. + 0 - 7 years- experience building on the Detail and Layout Drafter. + Knowledge of documentation requirements of ISO 9001. + Proficient with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project. + Self-starter, results-oriented, flexible, and team player. + Excellent written and verbal communications skills with internal and external customers. + Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively manage multiple, changing priorities and problem-solve simultaneously. + Demonstrated record of managing projects that produce quantifiable-bottom-line results. + Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing both internally and with customers. **Physical Requirements** + Physical ability to travel freely within manufacturing and office facilities. This requires climbing stairs and moving over, around, and about shop machinery.
