The Charleston-based Facilities Group at Weston & Sampson is accepting resumes from candidates for an Architectural Designer position with approximately 3+ years' of relevant experience for their North Charleston office. Work will include architectural design projects for our new and existing clients, supporting the company's architectural, design-build, and engineering discipline groups, and participating in and contributing to the expansion of the Facility Group's growing project base along the east coast, with additional team members sitting in North Carolina, Florida, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and New York.

What you'll do:
Support our Facilities Architecture team in the planning and design of new and renovated facilities. Work includes Conceptual planning through Construction Document preparation and Construction Administration.
Provide Architectural support to other Weston & Sampson discipline groups including our CMR (construction) team, Landscape Architecture, Environmental, and other Engineering groups.
Coordinate both internal and external multi-disciplinary team members of the project on delegated tasks with input from the Project Manager and build strong working relationships throughout.
Participate in inner-office functions, professional organizations, and technical committees as time and interest allows. Business Development and strategic marketing opportunities are available.
Report to Architectural Project Manager and Team Leader.
What you will bring:
3+ years of substantial experience as a productive member of a project design team with strong technical and Revit skills. Revit fluency is mandatory.
Ability to function comfortably, gain trust, confidence, and deal effectively with a wide range of individuals including consultants, contractors, and facilities project team members both internally and externally from W&S.
Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Bachelor of Architecture, Master of Architecture, or equivalent degree required. Licensed or licensure track preferred.
Demonstrated ability to understand all phases of project development from Schematic Design through Contract Administration.
Knowledge of architectural detailing, building codes, construction materials, and level of comfort at a construction site preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication, presentation skills, and experience leading and participating in client presentations and design review meetings.

We are seeking a talented CAD Technician to join our surveying team. This is a Full-time in-office position, located in Charleston, SC. As a CAD Technician, you will play a crucial role in transforming field data into accurate and detailed survey drawings using CAD software. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on challenging projects while utilizing your technical skills and expertise in land surveying.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Convert field survey data into detailed CAD drawings, including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking plans.
Interpret survey notes, sketches, and other data to accurately depict survey features and measurements.
Prepare drawings and maps for client deliverables, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Collaborate with surveyors and project managers to address design changes and modifications as needed.
Maintain organized project files and documentation to facilitate efficient project management and communication.
Assist in quality control checks to verify the accuracy and completeness of survey drawings.
Qualifications:
Previous land survey or engineering experience a plus.
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, etc.) with a strong understanding of CAD drafting principles.
Knowledge of land surveying techniques, terminology, and industry standards.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans for generating field layout data.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate drawings within project deadlines.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Previous experience in land surveying or related field is preferred.
