This is a 1099 Contract position. Call volume varies but is typically between 2-5 calls per day. Pay is based on the number of calls completed. Pay starts at $35 per ticket.
You will be completing hardware part replacements for Dell and Lenovo warranty services.
Pay period -every Friday after the first week of completing tickets.
You must have a reliable form of transportation to run these calls.
You must have access to a computer and the internet to log onto your portal.
Tickets are run Monday through Friday. You must be able to log into your tech portal every workday by 9 am to accept, code (update status), and map out your calls.
You will be responsible for contacting your customers and confirming a window to go onsite to complete the service.
Parts will be provided for you by the manufacturers. They are typically held at FedEx for you to pick up in the morning. You will be provided with shipping labels and materials to return the removed parts.

Job Description
Client has an ETL (Extract Transform Load) process that processes incoming flat files (text/csv, etc.) and loads them into an ERP system (CGI Advantage). It also extracts data from the system and sends them out as flat files. Sometimes the process does not produce the desired result. Typically, data received may not load into the system correctly or the extract may not contain the desired data. There can be various causes for this.
Candidate's main responsibilities will include determining the cause of data inconsistency (such as missing file, missing data in file, jobs that did not run..etc.), looking through log files and when needed, fixing the data. Fixing data will typically involve running or re running jobs inside the ETL workflow. Candidate may also be required to create ETL jobs from scratch that will involve Windows scripting/ SQL queries /use of an ETL tool.
Qualifications
1. Windows scripting:
• Be able to understand and write basic Windows PowerShell scripts. ETL jobs are basically windows script files and translation maps, and fluency in Windows scripting is important to understanding the workflow.
• Tasks candidate must be able to do with windows scripting - FTP / SFTP /Move/ Copy/ Delete/ Rename/ PGP encryption/decryption (with key).
• Candidate maybe shown windows scripts and asked to explain what they do and/or make modifications.
2. SQL:
• SQL queries are used to extract data from the ERP system. Candidate should be able to write basic SQL queries involving Selects, Joins, Unions, etc. Candidate may be asked to write simple queries on the board.
• We use MS SQLSERVER, so experience with SQLSERVER and SQL Server Management Studio is a plus.
3. XML:
• Flat files are translated into XML which are then imported into the system. Quite often we have to look at the XML to check for data correctness.
• Candidate should have thorough understanding of XML file structure.
4. Basic knowledge of an ETL process
Nice to have:
• Prior experience with an ETL tool and/or ETL workflow. We use a tool called PDI (Pervasive Data Integrator) Map Designer. Knowledge of PDI Map Designer will be a big plus.
• Experience with Control-M. Control-M is a windows job scheduler and data fixes will typically involve running jobs from Control-M. This requirement is not a necessity as candidate can be trained on its use.
• Any experience with ERP systems.

This is a 1099 Contract position. Call volume varies but is typically between 2-5 calls per day. Pay is based on the number of calls completed. Pay starts at $35 per ticket.
You will be completing hardware part replacements for Dell and Lenovo warranty services.
Pay period -every Friday after the first week of completing tickets.
You must have a reliable form of transportation to run these calls.
You must have access to a computer and the internet to log onto your portal.
Tickets are run Monday through Friday. You must be able to log into your tech portal every workday by 9 am to accept, code (update status), and map out your calls.
