The Computer Operator I Part Time On Call (PTOC) reports directly to the Shift Supervisor. The Computer Operator I performs the functions of Dedicated Operations Support (DOS) on the F/A-18 or E/A-18G training devices. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and evaluate software applications supporting PNT-related systems and mission requirements. Apply secure coding practices and ensure compliance with Navy and DoD software development standards. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize software for performance, reliability, and maintainability. Utilize programming languages such as C++, C#, or Java to develop and maintain complex software solutions. Support integration of software components with PNT systems, databases, and networked environments. Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and engineering design sessions. Contribute to modernization efforts, including refactoring legacy code and transitioning applications to updated platforms. Collaborate with PNT engineers, analysts, and program managers to ensure software solutions align with mission needs. Support testing and evaluation of PNT-related software tools, prototypes, and system enhancements. Assist in developing documentation, user guides, and technical reports for Government stakeholders. Ensure all development activities comply with NIWC, Navy, and DoD cybersecurity and configuration management requirements.
