Ensure conformance to project specific financial and change management processes, controls, and procedures to address the needs of the project as it evolves over time and ensure verticality with the prime contract as well as how it flows through to all subcontracts.
Specialize in monitoring, tracking and analysis of budgets and costs with the site-based Project Management and Accounting teams.
Participate in field audits confirming project progress, work in place, and documenting project variances.
Engage with PM's and PE's regarding overall Subcontractor financial health and assist as needed.
Maintain change order log in coordination with PM's, PE's, and Cost Manager.
Supports updating project risk, contingency, and other standard project financial reports.
Data entry of Owner, internal, and Subcontract change orders in both Fortis and Owner systems.
Monitor and update change order status as they are revised and routed through the review and approval process.
Support issuance of both Owner and Subcontractor change orders.
Supports project financial audits throughout the project lifecycle.
Supports creation of statistical analysis that provides an indication of project financial health, trends and potential risks and opportunities.
Participates in month-end financial close processes related to billings, revenue, fee, and labor projections.
Provides quality control on project specific financial processes & procedures (alignment with Owner WBS/cost structure, change management, billing, close out etc.).

Key Responsibilities
Build detailed electrical models of geothermal and solar power plants using ETAP software.
Perform power system studies, including short circuit, protection coordination, and arc flash analyses for both new and existing facilities.
Evaluate electrical designs to ensure compliance with applicable safety standards such as the National Electric Code (NEC).
Analyze system study results and prepare detailed written reports.
Create and install arc flash labeling per NFPA 70E requirements.
Follow and enforce all applicable safety procedures (CAPP, OSHA, NFPA 70E).
Travel extensively to domestic and international sites to gather field data and apply post-study labeling.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
5+ years of experience performing Power System Studies with a focus on arc flash analysis.

Ability to model electrical components such as generators, transformers, PV modules, and batteries.
Experience with AutoCAD preferred.

· Provide engineering field support for maintenance and testing activities. Review, evaluate, and track equipment test results.
· Provide engineering field support during planned and/or forced outages.
· Provide engineering field support for equipment failures. Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures. Develop solutions and corrective actions based on the analysis.
· Ensure that electrical systems meet statutory and regulatory requirements.
· Schedules and coordinates field-related activities in conjunction with Power Plant Management.
· Strictly adhere to and enforce safety procedures as required by the company, CAPP, and OSHA.
· Must possess at any time a valid driver's license with a driving record acceptable to our auto insurance carrier.
· Must be able to travel extensively (approximately 25% of working time) to Power Plant locations, including rural areas, to work on projects.
Other Responsibilities
· Occasional to frequent travel to plants in the United States and internationally.
· Other duties and projects assigned by management.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required
· Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. Professional Engineer license a plus.
· 5+ years of engineering experience in power generation, utility, mining, or heavy industry.
· Must have a high degree of initiative, ability to work with minimal supervision, and a high level of confidentiality.
· Experience designing low and medium-voltage power distribution systems, including calculating equipment ratings, cable sizes, protection settings, etc.
· Experience using electrical system modeling software (ETAP preferred).
· Experience with AutoCAD.
· Working knowledge of NERC Standards as applicable to Generator Owners and Generator Operators.
· Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA 70E: Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace.
· Must be able to manage multiple projects.
· Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
· Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English at a level that will permit the employee to understand and communicate information in a manner that will enable the employee to safely and efficiently perform the job duties.
Physical Requirements
· Must be able to work in plant operating areas, including exposure to noise, vibrations, heat, and cold.
· Must be able to wear any required protective equipment, as required by safety procedures and regulations.
· Job requires sitting and/or standing for long periods of time with moderate bending, stooping, and kneeling.
· The ability to work at a computer and monitor, and use repetitive motion for long periods of time.
· The ability to safely operate 4WD light vehicles on highways and dirt roads.
