To apply, please visit our career site at ************************** Job Summary The Controls Engineer is responsible for contributing to a team that will design, manage and execute the various controls sequences within Nortek Data Center Cooling products including embedded and system controllers, HMI controls, and controls testing. The Controls Engineer will work cross functionally with engineering, sales and service to determine controls requirements and sequence of operations. This position will also interact with customers to guide the integration of BMS equipment and recommend controls strategies for Nortek DCC. Key Responsibilities: • Contribute to efficient and reliable sequences of operation for the functioning of data center equipment and systems within the product portfolio. • Completing the assigned tasks and of the controls team and helping to develop sequence of operations in compliance with company goals and objectives. • Identifies opportunities to differentiate our controls strategies within the data center market. • Works with members of the controls team and other departments. • Accountable for the completion of sequence of operations, HMI development and on-time execution of testing that adhere to the product and customer specifications and requirements. • Contributes to the development of test plans and test scripts for performance and witness testing. • Contributes to the efforts to automate end of line testing. • Works directly with senior members on sequence of operation and test execution. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: • Working knowledge of HVAC / data center controls strategies • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards. • Ability to review schematics and P&ID drawings, with strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. • Ability to create block programming, structured text and ladder logic. • An understanding of fluid dynamics, psychrometric, and HVAC electrical systems • Contribute to employee safety and morale by creating a safe working and efficient working environment. • Ability to work collaboratively in a Teamwork culture. • Has Bias for Action and leads change towards improvement. • Ability to think strategically, solve problems and provide innovative solutions to customer challenges. Job Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent. 2+ years' experience in controls design and implementation. Posseses leadership and management skills. Proven experience in controls strategy within the data center cooling industry, HVAC or HVAC-related field. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
