Job Responsibilities * Collaborate with New Product Development teams to solve challenges and deliver high-quality prototypes on schedule. * Operate mills, lathes, grinders, and other shop equipment using proper machining techniques, including speeds, feeds, and set-ups. * Program CNC machines using CAM or conversational programming methods. * Interpret and work from engineering drawings with precision and accuracy. * Maintain an adequate inventory of raw materials, tooling, and shop supplies. * Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and cleaning of tools and equipment. * Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area. * Participate in brainstorming sessions and provide feedback on design and process improvements. Position Responsibilities * Perform duties associated with mechanical system startup, such as troubleshooting and resolving various operational problems with HVAC mechanical systems. * Assist in the service of mechanical and control systems that are under Bassett contract. * Assist in the coordination, install and start-up of mechanical and control systems as requested. * Assist in design, coordination, wiring and other work as assigned. * Attend classes and/or apprenticeship classes as required to increase knowledge of HVAC and controls. * Support and maintain a safe and Lean working environment. * Other duties as assigned. Work Environment This position is based in the testing lab for the Plumbing Americas division. Technicians will use water and other substances to test plumbing fixtures and toilets. Responsibilities include installing and setting up products to be tested in testing fixtures, initiating tests, monitoring for proper operation, and breaking down and submitting test data in an Excel spreadsheet. The team consists of about 12-16 individuals, some working in the faucets lab and others on toilets. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Kohler, WI.
