Prepares, revises and plots plans that go out for bid for City Public Works projects.
Purchases field equipment, drafting and plotting supplies.
Creates and revises City GIS projects, layers and databases.
Investigate and respond to complaints from the public in VueWorks.
Works on survey crew as needed.
Serves on call approximately 7 days/month to field locate Digger's Hotline emergency requests.
Maintains and is responsible for assigned equipment and vehicles.
Investigates and testifies regarding trip and falls in the City on any City property.
Review and process permits for oversize and overweight (OSOW) vehicles
Assists with snow on the sidewalk and right of way obstruction complaint enforcement.
Assigned Duties Related to Surveying:
Serves as field survey crew leader in setting of boundary and base lines, grades and control points and in the collection of field data for Public Works projects; provides field training as needed.
Purchases and maintains necessary equipment related to surveying.
Completes all phases of construction surveys.
Differentiates field data in various computer programs.
Teaches and oversees high school and college co-ops proper surveying techniques.
Collects data for legal descriptions.
Typical Qualifications
Graduation from high school and at least 2 years of specialized training, and at least 6 Years of experience in surveying, drafting and/or construction; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the following knowledge, ability and skills:
Knowledge of
Department rules, regulations and policies.
The practices, methods, techniques and procedures of construction, cartography and architecture.
Advanced drafting standards.
The use of standard office equipment and specialized equipment used in drafting and surveying.
The use of relevant software programs; e.g., AutoCad (Civil 3D), GIS, WORD, Excel, VueWorks, Granicus, and Adobe.
Ability to
Prepare and interpret difficult drawings, plans, graphs, charts, maps and specifications.
Understand and follow instructions and adhere to prescribed routines.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Assign and supervise the work of others.
Use and interpret results from engineering field, office and laboratory test equipment.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with engineers, contractors, supervisors, coworkers and the general public.

The CNC Technician-Grinder is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the PalmaryGrinder to support efficient production. Work Environment and Physical Demands
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds and seldom lifting to 75lbs. Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle and/or adjust equipment. Moderate reaching, pushing, pulling, gripping, and grasping. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to safety glasses, and steel toed work boots or shoes.

Performs a wide variety of electrical installation work on electrical systems and equipment
Installs complex wiring circuits and distribution centers in conformance with established codes as directed by electricians
Installs switches and controls, central and subsidiary control panels, electronic devices, and other gear incidental to the installation.
Follows electrical drawings and work instructions.
Uses all required electrical measuring and testing devices.
Complies with prescribed safety regulations.
Works from a general assignment and completes project with direction from electricians.
Assembles functional parts of enclosures using hand tools, levels, and straight edges.
Assembles, installs and/or repairs wiring, electrical and electronic components and equipment.
Uses tools ranging from common hand and power tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
Completes tasks in a timely manner.
Cleans and organizes work area.

We are seeking a Specimen Control and Receiving Tech - Cytology to:
Receive specimens and research kits into the laboratory, check for correct labeling, enter tests into Laboratory Information System, process specimens, and load them onto instruments or direct to appropriate work station, technologist, or storage area.
Basic instrument maintenance (temperatures, monitoring reagents) and clerical duties (filing, mailing, faxing).
Interact daily with pathologists, physicians, technologists, clinical staff, nursing unit personnel, and patients.

As a ControlsTechnician at GEA, , you would be responsible for supporting customers by optimizing GEA centrifugal equipment after delivery, supporting sales development, spearheading R&D efforts for new product development, and much more.
What You'll Do:
Provides electrical design, development, and programming based on approved P&ID (Piping & Instrumentation Diagram) conferring with Team members and management, as necessary. May also require exercising independent judgment.
Provides solid technical knowledge of automation technologies including sensors, controllers, actuators and industrial networks.
Supports the design, programming, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of high-speed centrifuges, as well as automated manufacturing systems and equipment at the GEA Janesville facility or customer sites.
Understands the theory and applications of fluid power, electrical and mechanical technologies, and programmable logic controllers.
Develop extensive use of problem solving and the troubleshooting skills. Gains hands-on training working on projects that integrate the broad knowledge of automated systems.
Use a variety of computer-based and electronically controlled systems in process and manufacturing environments.
Learn skills necessary to program, assemble, install, troubleshoot, repair, and modify machine instrumentation and controls.
Able to measure voltage, current, resistance for single and three phase alternating current and direct current (AC/DC) sources.
Apply math to calculate electrical power equation pertinent to the maintenance field.
Understands electrical control panel and machinery safety standards (UL 508A, NEC, NFPA).
Able to interpret and modify engineering drawings for electrical control panels as well as P&ID (Piping & Instrumentation Diagram).
Responsible for the installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software.
Assist in the supervision/training of in-house technical personnel as well as customer plant personnel in repairing, overhauling, installing, testing, and inspecting mechanical and electromechanical equipment.

Reviews reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address problems.
Provides electrical and controls support to customers and GEA personnel as needed, including troubleshooting, and hardware/software modifications.
Maintain and update electrical schematics, engineering drawings for production, and technical documentation for new and existent equipment.
Works effectively in a Team based work environment.
Familiarity with process controls, motor controls, instrumentation, automation principles, and industrial networking.
Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures utilized in machine control systems.
