Full-time Description The Senior Building Automation Technician is responsible for leading the installation, programming, commissioning, and service of Building Automation Systems (BAS) on plan and specification projects, small projects, and service engagements. Responsibilities * Collaborate with harness designers and engineers to build and install wire harnesses on prototype systems. * Assist engineers in assembling and testing prototype electrical subsystems. * Perform hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems. * Support engineering team members with diagnostics and repairs of electrical assemblies. * Maintain and organize the electrical lab area. * Maintain inventory and organization of laboratory supplies and order replacements as needed. Essential Skills * Experience with electromechanical systems, soldering, and wire harness. * Proficiency in using test equipment and prototyping. * Ability to perform electrical assembly and read blueprints and schematics. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Associate's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering Technology or Electronics. * Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams. * Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and other standard lab equipment. * Experience with soldering and crimping. * Understanding of electrical theory, circuit design, and testing methodologies. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Work Environment The work environment is a laboratory setting where you will work with advanced test equipment and collaborate with a team of engineers. Expect a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols. The dress code is casual, suitable for a lab environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anoka, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
