**Overview**
The Controls Technologist (CT) I is a technical expert who supports specific project delivery or technology development efforts. A CT I has a very high level of experience and expertise in the field. Areas of subject matter expertise may include one or more of the following: controls design, controls installation, retro-commissioning, metering solutions, HVAC systems optimization, and data analytics.
**Responsibilities**
*This role is a remote based position with flexibility to report to an ENFRA office location.
+ Identify gaps in project execution and create standards and processes to solve the issues.
+ Support or develop new tools supporting project execution.
+ Problem solve systems integration and operation of controls systems.
+ Retro-Commissioning
+ Support site surveys to determine existing facility conditions.
+ Support meetings with owners, clients, and sub-contractors as required. Prepares meeting notes and site observation reports.
+ Complete energy calculations to estimate project savings.
+ Develop and implements programming modifications for the building automation Controls
+ Complete minimum airflow calculations per the applicable code (ASHRAE 170, 62.1, or other state/local codes).

**Qualifications**
**Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications**

**Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications**

+ CEM certification.

POSITION PURPOSE
The Controls Service Technician role primarily involves starting up, trouble shooting and repairing complex controls on HVAC equipment consisting of primarily, but not limited to, Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems, dedicated outside air units, hot water boilers, computer room units, water source heat pumps, VAVs, packaged rooftops and split DX units.
