Responsibilities: Supervise and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety of premises Answer telephone calls and take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when the switchboard is closed Investigate and prepare reports on incidents Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property Guard, patrol, and monitor industrial or commercial premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions of rules Enforce facility rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance Oversees the daily workflow, schedules, and assignments of security staff including security guards and desk clerks. Prepares and conducts training for new hires and current staff including training on workplace searches, drug and alcohol procedures, and related safety and security topics. Escort on foot or by motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection or to escort persons off customer property Write detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity reports (DARs) Supervise for irregular or unusual activity Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent Must have a valid Security Guard License Must have 2 years of experience as a security officer or supervisory experience Must have open availability to work all shifts and schedules Must have reliable transportation Must have good communications skills Ability to stand or walk for long periods Must be able to walk/run flights of stairs on a daily basis.
