This position is responsible for providing law enforcement and security services for the campus community. The role primarily covers the third shift, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Maintains responsibility for security and safety of persons and property (60%)
* Identifies potential security and safety hazards.
* Patrols campus on foot and in a vehicle to detect and deter criminal activity, parking violations, and traffic violations.
* Responds to routine and emergency calls for service. Provides traffic direction and escorts as needed.
* Assists motorists as needed.
* Provides first aid and CPR to victims as necessary.
* Apprehends, arrests, and processes offenders.

* Completes all required reports and forms including accident and incident forms and student injury reports as well as others.

* Conducts preliminary and follow-up investigations of crimes and other offenses against persons and property.
* Prepares for and testifies in judicial and campus proceedings.

Required Qualifications
* Valid driver's license.
* Must be 21 YOA.
* Must be a Georgia Certified Peace Officer or the ability to obtain certification.
* Must maintain a Georgia Certified Peace Officer Certification and other applicable certifications.
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Good moral character, good under stressful conditions, good decision making ability.
* Satisfactory results from a criminal background investigation including drug screen, credit check, psychological exam, physical exam, and others.
* Ability to meet and maintain current requirements set forth by the Police Standards and Training Council for the State of Georgia.
