Documentation
* Maintain accurate and timely client records, including intake, progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries, and outcome reports.
* Ensure compliance with federal and state confidentiality regulations and agency policies.
Case Management
Assist clients in accessing community resources and referral services.
Advocate for clients with external agencies when necessary.
Engage families and significant others in the recovery process, providing guidance on healthy relationship strategies.
Discharge Planning
* Develop discharge plans that support continued recovery and connect clients to appropriate aftercare services.
* Collaborate with referral sources to ensure smooth transitions post-treatment.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in social or health services field from an accredited college or university; CADC preferred.
* Minimum four years' counseling experience, including at least one year in SUD.
OR
* Master's degree in social or health services field required.
* Minimum one year professional experience in SUD and/or MH as a therapist.
* Licensure preferred: LPC, LCSW, LMFT, CAADC.
* CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training provided upon hire).

Attend and participate in trainings, including monthly PRP Team Meeting
Research and provide resources to your clients
Participate in on-site/off-site agency led groups/events at least 1x monthly

Treatment program seeking compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Counselor to help provide direction and support for our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for developing treatment and recovery plans, and identifying behaviors that impede rehabilitation. You will also be required to facilitate individual, group, therapy sessions.
This role requires you to provide client care (including appropriate documentation for 10 clients per day.
Official caseload will be determined upon hire.
You should be familiar with the latest treatment methods and collaborate with other mental health care specialists to ensure excellent clinical knowledge and demonstrable counseling experience.
Responsibilities:
Managing all aspects of a case from date of entry to date of discharge.
Evaluating and counseling patients' physical and mental behaviors.
Meet with clinical supervisor once every two weeks remotely or in person.
Participate in weekly in-service remotely.
Developing appropriate treatment and recovery plans.
Facilitating individual, family and group therapy sessions.
Monitoring patients over time to access treatment progress.
Collaborating with psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, social workers as needed.
Identifying behaviors that interfere with treatment and recovery.
Accurate and timely written documentation into EMR reporting system (or similar) as per the training provided during onboarding.
Adherence to regulations of COMAR, CARF, any other regulatory body, and company policies/ procedures related to service delivery and documentation and co-facilitating orientation of all new hires to these as well.
Support the maintenance of a safe environment by participating in training and drills as requested.
Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients treatment.
Participate in external and internal audits/surveys (CARF/BHA) as directed by the supervisor.
Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement plans by completing periodic audits or other activities to ensure regulatory compliance and/or improve service delivery.
Must perform at least one billable service per hour each scheduled workday. Other duties as assigned.
