MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Interfaces with law enforcement, Division of Child and Family Services, Juvenile Justice Services or other
referring parties and community partners to obtain pertinent information.

Qualifications
In addition to meeting the BASIC REQUIREMENTS above, applicants must also meet the specialized experience (SE) requirements as described below. GS-12: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of SE equivalent to the GS-11 grade level. SE is defined as follows:
* Experience interpreting federal laws, regulations and directives governing operations of employee assistance counseling programs.
* Experience providing short-term interventions and resources referral assistance to federal employees and their families seeking help with challenges related to mental health and/or substance abuse, emotional, gambling, marital, family relations, financial, work-related issues, stress, grief/loss or other personal problems.
* Experience providing educational material to the level and interests of the audience and experience leading lectures, training seminars, and discussion groups.
GS-13: In addition to the above, applicant must possess at least one (1) year of SE equivalent to the GS-12 level, as defined below:
* Experience providing diagnosing and treating a variety of psychological illnesses and personality disorders, dual diagnosis and maladaptive behaviors.
* Experience providing educational material to the level and interests of the audience and ability to communicate such material effectively in forums such as lectures, training seminars, and discussion groups.
Experience with consulting and advising management and healthcare professionals on complex employee performance and behavioral concerns and sensitive issues such as psychological, physiological and sociological aspects of alcoholism and other addictions and with the prevailing modes of treatment and rehabilitation.
Desired Skills
Desired skills are NOT mandatory and will NOT be utilized to minimally qualify applicants. Desired Skills are:
GS-12: Two years of full time experience after obtaining license. (Two-five years of experience post independent licensure).

Secondary Duties

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS• Provides supervision of programs for youth and addresses potentially dangerous situations, • Maintains professional demeanor, complies with agency policies and procedures, and adheres to Pledge of Confidentiality and DHHS Provider Code of Conduct.• Assists with daily hygiene, completing daily chores, and maintaining a healthy living environment for youth. • Plans and facilitate recreational activities and skills groups. Follows program schedules and plan interactive activities that support youth's physical and emotional health.
* Documents all pertinent information in client's online records such as intake and release records, daily progress notes, client visits, school attendance, medication administration, medical appointments, etc. • Administers medication as prescribed and ensure that medication is secured per agency policy.• Transports youth to school, medical appointments, and off-campus activities.• Coordinates services with guardians/caseworkers, schedule therapy, and refer to community resources.• Searches youth and their belongings for weapons or contraband and confiscate unapproved or illegal materials if needed.• Provides crisis intervention, including approved verbal de-escalation and physical hold techniques if needed. Engages and mentors' youth using a trauma-informed approach. • Interfaces with law enforcement, Division of Child and Family Services, Juvenile Justice Youth Services or other referring parties and community partners.• Provides information and assistance to clients and the public regarding community resources.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWill work with youth and deal with certain working conditions that may cause exposure to biohazards such as human waste and vomit. Must be able to place youth in physical holds and lift up to 50 pounds.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THIS POSITIONRequired to work holidays as scheduled and attend training that may fall outside of regularly scheduled hours.

Education:
Masters' degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling Psychology or related degree that leads to clinical licensure.
Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years post masters' professional experience including three (3) years post independent licensure. One year of post independent licensure may be replaced by NOJOS and DOC Credentialing for Sensitive Cases Team.
Demonstrated Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrate advanced clinical skills and receptiveness to feedback
Ability to provide clinical supervision of other team members, including those pursuing clinical licensure.
Professionalism with great attention to quality and timely notes, consultation, and terminations.
Highly skilled in conducting group therapy.
Refined consultation skills.
Fulfill assignments from agency and regional managers. Examples may include - serve as regional specialist, participate in regional trainings, participate on headquarters committees, etc.
Clinical Licensure:
Hold and maintain current independent clinical license (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or similar clinical licensure).
May require state licensure for multiple states depending on service area.
Licensure requirements for International Areas will vary by country.
Role Complexities:
Regular interactions/consultations include Bishops, Stake Presidents, Mission Presidents, GA's.
Focus is on therapy with little to no case management.
