Essential Responsibilities & Duties Classroom Duties: Function as Room leader or Assistant leader as directed. Make sure the room is clean, stocked, and in order. Always leave the room better than you found it. Oversee the classroom (keep class on the schedule, make sure diapers are changed, that kids go to the bathroom, etc.). Implement the schedule/curriculum in your classroom. Assist parents with dropping off or picking up children. Comply with all James River Kids' Policies and Procedures. Two workers must be present in a room, at all times, including during regular childcare and events. Injuries must be immediately reported to the Coach or Coordinator. You are Security!! Make sure each child has a computer-generated name tag and that parents fill out the sign-in sheet upon arrival to your class. List any allergies clearly. At pick-up, verify that the number on the parent claim tag and the child's sticker match. Please contact the Coordinator/Coach if there are any questions or issues. Use the sign-in sheet in the room for attendance. Add any additional notes on the whiteboard on the wall. Add and subtract kids as they come and go. This position offers… • Employee Assistance Program - 24/7 counseling services, legal assistance, & financial consultation for you and your household at no cost • Mileage Reimbursement - Company paid for work functions requiring travel • Employee Discounts - Hotels, Theme Parks & Attractions, College Tuition • Workplace Culture - An environment cultivating employee wellbeing, valuing each individual's humanity, and actively promoting a healthy, joyful workforce • Additional Perks & Benefits - Scroll down to bottom of this post to learn more Key Responsibilities: • Provide individual, group, family, and practical counseling in various settings to meet clients' treatment goals. • Complete intake/screening and comprehensive assessments within designated time frames according to state regulations. • Determine and document diagnoses based on thorough assessments. • Develop individualized treatment plans that reflect the client's unique needs and evolve based on ongoing information. • Participate in clinical staffing and treatment meetings, providing valuable feedback on cases. • Document all services rendered in compliance with state regulatory standards. • Assist clients through the transition process, ensuring comprehensive correspondence such as summaries and plans are completed. • Maintain positive, professional relationships with referral sources, clients, and coworkers, adhering to ethical guidelines and agency policies. • Handle crisis situations as they arise, providing emergency services when necessary. • Facilitate group counseling, education, and specialty services, including trauma and co-occurring therapy. • Provide professional supervision to individuals in training once qualifications are met. • Other duties as assigned by leadership. Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications: • Must possess at least a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field. • Holds licensure with the applicable board of professional registration for the state, such as LPC, LCSW, or LMFT. • Must be willing to become licensed in additional states beyond the current licensure. • Willingness and comfort with providing telehealth services to individuals we serve (training will be provided). Additional Qualifications: • Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance are required. • Successful completion of background checks, including criminal records and driving history. • First Aid certification must be completed within three (3) months of employment. • CPR certification must also be obtained within three (3) months of employment. • Behavioral management training should be completed within thirty (30) days of employment. • Must provide a copy of applicable certifications/licenses upon hire. Physical Requirements: • ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull objects, including the human body. Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during the work shift. • Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods.
