Criteria such as the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer. **Your Challenge** + Read and interpret detailed part and tool drawings + Obtain all tools, fixtures and related equipment. + Prepare all surfaces, assemble and position parts, as required, to be welded, also including layout, assembly, and fabrication to drawing requirements + Assemble components or assemblies to positioners. + Set up required welding and brazing equipment + Verify process specifications follow prescribed procedures and perform assigned operations in all positions, as certified + Remove slag, chip, grind, visible defects before depositing subsequent passes. Investigate manufacturing deviations and provide corrective action May supervise and direct subordinates, product design engineers and/or technicians in the design and modification of components for steam turbines Independently performs assignments that require a thorough knowledge of thermodynamics, machine design, metallurgy, installation, operation and application of steam turbines Your Expertise: Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Security clearances and approvals Ability to travel 5% - 15% per year dependent upon projects assigned BS in Mechanical Engineering or Aero Engineering discipline and 10+ years of experience in the steam turbine or related industry required Ability to create UG drawings, 3-D models Experience in managing projects and working in a team environment Knowledge of Oracle manufacturing systems/software 10+ experience in steam turbines manufacturing/design is an asset Who We Are: Our Values Environmental, Social and Governance Compliance Statement This position may require exposure to export-controlled information and subject to additional security screening.
