Full-time schedule: 8 hours on Saturday, 8 hours on Sunday, and three 8 hour weekday shifts.
Daily work hours: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Duration: Permanent Full-Time Position
This position provides general cleaning and custodial care and support for assigned campus buildings, facilities, structures and adjacent areas, including, but not limited to, student residences, offices, locker rooms, patios, entryways and walkways, and workshops. Custodial staff may work independently or as part of a custodial team. Weekend work required.

Daily dust mop and wet mop of hard surface flooring, from wall-to-wall
Daily vacuum of carpeted flooring, including mats, runners, and area rugs
Daily disinfecting of high-touch surfaces, such as doorknobs, door handles, light switches, etc.
Daily trash detail cleaning, wiping down drips and spills from the interior and exterior of cans, throwing out trash if needed
Daily cleaning of bar mats, removing to spray down to remove dirt and debris and replacing behind the bar once clean
Weekly Friday cleaning and disinfecting of the main entry glass doors in the restaurant, including doorknobs, door handles, interior & exterior glass, removing smudges and fingerprints
Spot cleaning/dusting of internal partition areas, including ironwork entries to the bar/lounge, as needed
Lower Kitchen Areas, Stairway Landings
Three nights per week dust mop and wet mop of hard surface flooring, from wall-to-wall
Three nights per week vacuum of any carpeted areas
Weekly cleaning and disinfecting of Kitchen high-touch areas, including doors, refrigerator handles, water cooler handles, cabinets, etc. as needed
Restrooms - Public (Upstairs)
Daily trash detail cleaning, wiping down drips and spills from the interior and exterior of cans, throwing out trash if needed
Daily detail cleaning and disinfecting of countertops and sinks, toilets and urinals
Daily dust mop and wet mop of hard surface flooring, from wall-to-wall
Daily clean of all mirrors
Weekly cleaning and disinfecting of walls, partitions, and high-touch areas including doorknobs, door handles, light switches, dispensers, etc.
Weekly polishing of any hardware
Other Duties
Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while handling hazardous materials or as needed
Follow proper use, storage, disposal, and handling for all cleaning chemicals as indicated in the Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
Use Wet Floor signage and follow protocols to prevent slips, trips, and falls
Clean and organize the designated cleaning supply areas (mop sink area and break room corner)
Turn off lights as directed and secure entrance doors as directed
Report items needing repair or lost and found items to Management
Perform all other tasks as assigned by management
Additional Job Duties:
Must be available to work nights, shift starts at 10pm
Able to work weekends and holidays
Must be able to work at least 3 shifts per week

Position Summary: The PM Janitorial Worker is responsible for ensuring cleanliness in the Restaurant and Kitchen areas, including the public areas of Marisol, behind the bar, and both upstairs and downstairs kitchens and restrooms. This position will be scheduled nightly, at 10pm Sunday-Thursday and 10:30pm Friday-Saturday, after the restaurant & bar is closed. The PM Janitorial Worker will complete a variety of cleaning and disinfecting tasks as directed by management while upholding The Cliffs' Mission and Values.
Essential Functions of the job:
Restaurant Lobby/Host Stand/Bar/Dining Spaces/Beverage Areas; Stairwells, Hallways, and Elevator Cabs
Daily cleaning and disinfecting of sinks, including faucets
Daily dust mop and wet mop of hard surface flooring, from wall-to-wall
Daily vacuum of carpeted flooring, including mats, runners, and area rugs
Daily disinfecting of high-touch surfaces, such as doorknobs, door handles, light switches, etc.
Daily trash detail cleaning, wiping down drips and spills from the interior and exterior of cans, throwing out trash if needed
Daily cleaning of bar mats, removing to spray down to remove dirt and debris and replacing behind the bar once clean
Weekly Friday cleaning and disinfecting of the main entry glass doors in the restaurant, including doorknobs, door handles, interior & exterior glass, removing smudges and fingerprints
Spot cleaning/dusting of internal partition areas, including ironwork entries to the bar/lounge, as needed
Lower Kitchen Areas, Stairway Landings
Three nights per week dust mop and wet mop of hard surface flooring, from wall-to-wall
Three nights per week vacuum of any carpeted areas
Weekly cleaning and disinfecting of Kitchen high-touch areas, including doors, refrigerator handles, water cooler handles, cabinets, etc. as needed
Restrooms - Public (Upstairs)
Daily trash detail cleaning, wiping down drips and spills from the interior and exterior of cans, throwing out trash if needed
Daily detail cleaning and disinfecting of countertops and sinks, toilets and urinals
Daily dust mop and wet mop of hard surface flooring, from wall-to-wall
Daily clean of all mirrors
Weekly cleaning and disinfecting of walls, partitions, and high-touch areas including doorknobs, door handles, light switches, dispensers, etc.
Weekly polishing of any hardware
Other Duties
Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while handling hazardous materials or as needed
Follow proper use, storage, disposal, and handling for all cleaning chemicals as indicated in the Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
Use Wet Floor signage and follow protocols to prevent slips, trips, and falls
Clean and organize the designated cleaning supply areas (mop sink area and break room corner)
Turn off lights as directed and secure entrance doors as directed
Report items needing repair or lost and found items to Management
Perform all other tasks as assigned by management
Additional Job Duties:
Must be available to work nights, shift starts at 10pm
Able to work weekends and holidays
Must be able to work at least 3 shifts per week
Education, Experience, Skills:
High school diploma
Working knowledge of guest services in a luxury hotel setting.
Excellent command of English language.
Strong attention to detail
Ability to multitask and work in mentally demanding situations.
Ability to work independently
Knowledge of safety guidelines when working with chemical cleaners
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand/walk continuously for the duration of the shift (five or more hours).
Ability to stretch, bend, lift, and carry frequently up to 50 pounds in weight.
Ability to kneel, crouch, and stoop occasionally during the shift
Ability to work in stressful situations.
