Clinician Educator - Outpatient Internal Medicine Physician Opportunity in Danbury, CT
Danbury Hospital, affiliated with Nuvance Health is seeking a Clinician Educator for an Outpatient Internal Medicine Teaching Opportunity at the Adult Community Health Center in Danbury, CT (60 miles from NYC). The ideal candidate is a highly competent, board-certified or board-eligible internist, preferably with ambulatory care and teaching experience to precept internal medicine residents and medical students in a primary care clinic as well as seeing patients independently. The qualified applicant would have a love of teaching and dedication to provide excellent patient care in a Federally Qualified Health Center. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in teaching to work with bright, enthusiastic and engaged Residents in a clinic dedicated to the care of underserved patients. We are seeking a candidate who can start immediately. Visa sponsorship may be available.
Our residency program is primarily affiliated with University of Vermont as well as Ross University and American University of the Caribbean. The position includes the opportunity to become an Assistant Clinical Professor at University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine.
Job Summary:
On average, nine ½ day precepting sessions per week teaching top-notch internal medicine residents and medical students.
Dedicated didactic teaching and administrative time - on average one 1/2 day session/week
Interest and experience in quality improvement, advocacy, and outcomes research preferred
