Police Officers must maintain a high level of proficiency and good judgment in the use of police equipment including the handling and use of firearms consistent with the laws of the State of Wisconsin and Department Written Directives. Police Officers should be capable of working in cooperation with officers from other agencies and effectively partner with persons from other University departments, and mental health and social services agencies. Police Officers may be required to participate in crowd control and dignitary protection details. About the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Science: The College of Engineering, Mathematics, and Science (EMS) enrolls approximately 2,500 students in ABET-accredited BS degree programs in Civil, Electrical, Environmental, Industrial Systems, Mechanical, Software Engineering, and Engineering Physics , as well as BS degrees in Mathematics, Data Science, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Sustainable and Renewable Energy Systems. The College of EMS also participates in a statewide Collaborative Engineering Program that allows place-bound undergraduate students to complete their BS degrees in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering with minimal travel.
