JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
Performs a wide variety of reliability related activities related to improving the overall reliability performance of distribution lines. Project areas may include grid/system design, operations and maintenance, asset management, reliability, computer applications, safety, and root cause failure analysis.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide technical reliability guidance to the Distribution Field Engineers, Designers, and Distribution Line groups regarding distribution line reliability.
Work with Distribution Line Personnel and Asset Management to identify and prioritize the portfolio of reliability projects, and ensure that projects are in alignment with budget.
Provide overall project management for reliability project portfolio within the assigned engineering region.
Provide root cause analysis for distribution line outages and power quality events that affect customers e.g. using field investigation techniques and FALLS software to determine if lightning was a root cause.
Review and recommend for approval electrical designs that comply with company standards with an emphasis on reliability, which enhance the overall system performance and reliability.
Provide quality control audits post construction to ensure that designs are built accurately and meet or exceed reliability standards.
Provide ad hoc reliability reports using Power BI e.g. SAIFI and SAIDI analysis.
Perform engineering analysis to aid in reliability and corrective measure projects.
Assist with storm restoration efforts both local and out of town.
Utility experience is highly preferred
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum education required of the position
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline (typically Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Chemical, Industrial) from four year accredited institution.
Minimum experience required of the position
Engineer I - 0 to 2 years experience in an engineering discipline
Engineer II - 2+ years experience in an engineering discipline.
Engineer III - 4+ years experience in an engineering discipline.

What role you will play in our team
The Process Analyzer Engineer is responsible for the design, optimization, and implementation of a wide variety of on-line process analyzers to be installed at petrochemical and refining sites. This individual would also provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing site maintenance and business teams. This involves time in the field ensuring that the installed analyzers are contributing to safe, environmentally sound, reliable, and profitable operations and time in the office attending planning and business team meetings.

* Provides day to day support to Process and Maintenance on analyzer equipment regarding malfunctions and deficiencies and recommends actions to enhance equipment reliability

* Support to maintenance and operations for existing analyzer fleet
* Deployment of new process analyzer and sensor technologies, as applicable

About you
Skills and Qualifications
* A minimum of 4 years of experience as a process analyzer engineer is required for this position or a combination of the following education and work experiences:
* A Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry or Engineering

* B.S. in Chemistry or Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of process analyzer experience

Overview
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Core Experiences Team. This team builds and maintains the foundational services and SDKs that power Speechify's product experience across platforms. It's a critical role for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of product and infrastructure, thinks strategically, and is passionate about designing clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that directly enhance the user experience.
What You'll Do
Collaborate with Speechify's Product Teams to scope projects, find ways to reduce scope to get faster feedback from customers, navigate the integration/UX tradeoffs relevant to different product teams, and deliver solutions via our cross-platform SDK
Optimize existing functionality to ship things like faster loading and more intelligent parsing by designing more efficient abstractions and improving our algorithms
Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin
An Ideal Candidate Should Have
Systems thinking. You know that optimizing a system requires end-to-end design, and you believe simplicity is valuable.
Speed. You work quickly to generate ideas and options and know how to decide which things can ship now and what things need time

Preferred Tech Stack:
Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience is OK but role is Kotlin Multiplatform)
