DaVita is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease in an outpatient dialysis clinic. As a PCT, you'll provide direct, hands-on care under RN supervision, helping patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment. Key Responsibilities * Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care * Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment * Set up and maintain dialysis equipment * Record vital signs and patient data * Educate patients on treatment and kidney health * Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members Requirements * High school diploma or GED (will be verified during post offer of employment) * Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment * Physically able to work long shifts on your feet * Willing to float between local clinics if needed * Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Details about the paid training and work schedule: * No healthcare experience is required. We will train you! * Our clinics operate Monday through Saturday. We are closed on Sundays and are open on holidays unless the holiday falls on a Sunday. PCTs expected shifts: Three to four (10-12 hour) shifts per week shifts with a minimum of every other Saturday. Start time is around 5:00 am and may vary per clinic. You must have a flexible schedule to be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. The training may take place at your facility or another location. How you'll change lives As a Registered Nurse (RN) at US Renal Care, you'll be an integral part of a cross-functional team, working under the supervision of a Charge Nurse and assisting and supervising Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) to care for patients living with kidney disease. What you'll be doing Patient care. You'll work directly with patients to provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment. Responsibilities include completing and documenting physical assessments before and after treatments and monitoring patients during treatment. You'll ensure quality renal care by completing monthly reviews of patient medication profiles and administering medications according to physician orders. Teamwork. You'll be a critical member of an interdisciplinary team to provide all required patient assessment and care planning activities. You'll also make sure center staffing requirements are met at all times under the direction of the Administrator and according to state regulations for staffing ratios. Safety & Quality.
