Purges all outdated items from the storeroom on a routine basis. Maintains emergency management supplies, rotates dated stock and inventories on a daily basis. Rotate inventory as needed through storeroom 5th and 7th floor storage Assist in helping with stock on 5th and 7th floor storage. Labels “special handling” items in the storeroom and checks overage pallet daily for items that need to be stocked. Assist as back up for par carts. Assists with inventory cycle counts and physical inventory Maintains the storeroom in a clean and organized manner, and removes all boxes and trash accumulated each day. Performs daily digital equipment quality control Performs assigned duties during procedures (i.e., scrub, x-ray, circulate, and physiologic monitoring). Performs digital imaging and related procedures/duties (i.e., transfer of images to storage, copying C.D. and mailing to other facilities). Maintains strict compliance with radiation safety. Job Specifications: Education: Completion of Accredited Radiology Technologist school or program. Experience: Minimum of two (2) years special procedures experience necessary. Performs and analyzes arterial and capillary sticks on infants and pediatric patients as applicable. Performs emergent and elective intubation upon request of a physician if applicable. Performs and interprets pulse oximetry, capnography and transcutaneous monitoring measurements. Provides therapy as needed in the Special Care Nursery such as oxygen therapy, treatments, or ventilator care if applicable. Sets up special ventilator techniques used in the Critical Care Unit. Serves as a consultant to physicians and department staff on matters of respiratory care. Evaluates the patients care plan upon request of a physician or other department personnel and makes recommendations for changes as appropriate. May be called upon to act in the absence of the supervisor as applicable. Completes other duties and special projects as assigned. Actively participates in staff development activities such as in-service programs, procedure development, and equipment check-offs. Responsible for assessing, formulating plan of care, implementing and evaluating nursing care for patient population requiring vascular access placed by Nursing Specialty Services. Is a leader and collaborates with the healthcare tam to promote a world class environment. Serves as a resource person for maintaining and troubleshooting vascular access devices. Essential Job Duties: Performs vascular access assessments in a systematic and organized manner to provide high quality and safe outcomes. Provides direction and collaborates with team members to support a healthy work environment. Collaborates with nurses and physicians to determine appropriate vascular access device selection and placement. Analyzes collected data regarding vascular access to formulate a plan of care that contributes to high quality and safe outcomes related to infusion therapy. Initiates a plan of care with measurable criteria consistent with world class performance levels. Evaluates the vascular access device plan of care with the healthcare staff, patient and family/support system to maintain world class levels of patient satisfaction and outcomes. Contributes to a high performance work environment by seeking educational resources that enhance and maintain current knowledge and skills including resources specifically related to vascular access. Apply for nursing council or committee and be vested on one council at least every 5 years. 80% attendance in person or by phone is required. Advancements in Clinical Ladder will be reflected in yearly application process. Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; Bachelors Degree in Nursing effective January 2017 (with the exception of staff previously granted grandfather status). Licensure: Registered Nurse license from the Indiana State Board of Nursing. Some areas may require a current and valid driver's license. Experience: Graduate of RN Program. 5 years of hospital acute care experience.
