About the Role
Our client is seeking a Humanoid Robotics Engineer to design, prototype, and validate locomotion, manipulation, and safety systems for a next‑generation humanoid platform. This is a hands‑on, lab‑centric role where you'll own features end‑to‑end-from simulation and controls algorithms to on‑robot bring‑up, testing, and field deployment.
What You'll Do
Develop whole‑body control, gait generation, balance/recovery, and fall‑safe behaviors
Build sensor fusion pipelines and robust state estimation (IMU, LiDAR, encoders, depth/RGB)
Plan and execute dexterous grasping, tool use, and compliant control with tactile feedback
Architect ROS 2‑based stacks, real‑time nodes, and hardware interfaces (CAN/EtherCAT)
Implement safety monitors, fault detection, and contribute to ISO/ANSI compliance standards
Create high‑fidelity simulations (Gazebo, Isaac Sim, MuJoCo) and validate sim‑to‑real transfer
Collaborate on hardware design (actuators, transmissions, sensors) and rapid prototyping
Document designs, test reports, and maintain traceability across revisions
What We're Looking For
BS/MS/PhD in Robotics, EE, ME, CS, or related field
5+ years hands‑on experience in humanoid robot engineering and prototyping
Strong C++ (14/17) and Python; proficiency with ROS 2 and real‑time systems
Expertise in multibody dynamics, control theory (LQR/MPC/impedance), and state estimation (EKF/UKF)
Experience with EtherCAT/CAN devices, motor control, and safety‑rated I/O
Proven on‑robot bring‑up/debugging in lab environments
Preferred: experience in legged locomotion, dexterous manipulation, tactile sensing, GPU acceleration, ML for control/perception, and safety analysis

* Serves as a primary mechanical design engineer for projects, producing design/construction drawings under the supervision of more-senior staff.

* Generates mechanical design/construction drawings utilizing REVIT and AutoCAD software.
* Observes mechanical construction progress as directed by more senior staff and generates field observation reports.

* Assists with designs, writing of reports and correspondence with other discipline professionals, as well as representatives of the Client organization to help complete work efficiently.
WHAT YOU NEED:
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering -OR-- Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Engineering with Mechanical focus, from an ABET-accredited university.
* 2-4 years of documented applicable experience, working on facilities for healthcare; higher education; institutional; federal, state, and local government; K-12 education & support; and other commercial/industrial facilities.
* Resides in the greater Central Florida area, such as within one of the following counties: Orange, Seminole, Volusia, Brevard, Osceola and Lake; Or is willing to relocate to the aforementioned counties.
* Engineer Intern Certification
* Ability to work in person a minimum of three (3) days weekly in the local office located in east Orlando, Florida right next to the UCF campus.
* Ability to travel to project locations and client meetings throughout east and north Florida. Travel beyond this primary area may occasionally also be required.
* Significant applicable experience using Autodesk REVIT and AutoCAD MEP.
* Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of software, as well as Bluebeam.
* Strong knowledge of the FBC Mechanical code and ASHRAE standards commensurate with their years of experience.
* Ability to climb ladders and perform typical field survey duties of existing facilities.

Build and run rigid-body dynamic models for simulation (e.g. MATLAB/Simulink (Simscape Multibody).
Prepare reports, documentation, and presentation materials summarizing analysis results and communicating results to partners.
Collaborate with mechanical design teams, other analysts, and creative partners on the technical details of the simulations.
Work with our Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) and Facilities and Operational Services (FOS) partners to communicate requirements and results from system simulations.
Prepare proposals for stakeholders including scope of work, budgets, and schedules.
Track and advise project teams and leadership on project schedule and budget trends.
Support tool development for automation of analysis processes through coding, testing, and validation
Required Qualifications & Skills
Here's what you need to be successful at this job:
Strong physics and mathematics academic background.
Proven ability to lead small analysis or simulations projects working independently or overseeing a small team of supporting engineers.
Proficiency in CAD Software (SolidWorks highly preferred).
Experience in dynamic modeling and simulation software (MATLAB/Simulink Simscape Multibody highly preferred).
Experience with scripting and programming in software languages such as Python or MATLAB.

Job Description: The CAD Engineer II plays a key role in developing and managing 3D CAD models and technical drawings that support product design, engineering, and manufacturing processes. Qualifications & Prior Experience
2 - 4 years of professional experience in design required
A minimum of 2 years experience in the design of building HVAC systems required
Any retail or grocery store design experience a plus
Experience in the design of building HVAC systems
Has lead projects in mechanical and plumbing designs
Has PE or on track to get PE
Knowledge/understanding of mechanical building codes
Knowledge of heating and cooling load calculations, mechanical materials, systems, and their application
Experience with DX, chilled water, and variable air systems
Ability to run heating/cooling loads with Carrier and/or Trane programs is required
Ability to produce energy code calculations required
Proficiency in AutoCAD 2000 or later to produce construction documents in accordance with Interplan standards required

Drafter/Designer
Design engineer job in Orlando, FL
We are seeking a Substation Drafter/Designer to join a growing Power Delivery team. In this role, you will support the design and drafting of electrical substations projects. You will collaborate with engineers and project managers to produce high-quality drawings and models that meet client standards and project requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare detailed substation design drawings including one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout plans.
+ Develop 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.
+ Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to create accurate design documents.
+ Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a Project Manager.
+ Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines to ensure design accuracy and client standards compliance.
+ Attend meetings with clients and maintain a good working relationship with clients, sub-consultants, and sub-contractors.
+ Maintain drawing standards and adhere to quality control processes.
+ Assist in preparing material lists and bills of materials.
+ Support design revisions and updates throughout the project lifecycle.
+ Collaborate effectively with team members across multiple offices.
+ Stay current with industry standards, codes, and best practices for substation design.
+ Perform other duties as needed.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years experience in Drafting and/or Design
+ Experience in electrical substation drafting or design is highly preferred
+ Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation)
+ Electrical drafting experience
+ Willingness to learn and adapt in substation engineering
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Office
+ Understanding of power delivery and electrical design

Work Environment
The position requires working four days in the office. While Tampa is preferred, candidates can also work out of any of the Florida locations including Orlando, Miami, or Jacksonville.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.

You will align with colleagues, convince the stakeholders and make decisions based on simplified low fidelity approaches or run a 3D full compressor CFD, create compressor maps or evaluate test and fleet data to find solutions for complex design tasks, or anything in between.
You will be part of a global, international team and closely collaborate with colleagues from adjacent disciplines, i.e. mechanical integrity, secondary air system, whole engine modelling, product definition, manufacturing and service to develop a design that is a balanced compromise between project requirements for performance, lifetime and costs.
**How You'll Make an Impact**
+ Design, analysis and assessment of rotor & stator airfoils and flowpath, perform compressor performance evaluation as well as design optimization using 1D, 2D and 3D approaches
+ Develop and implement enhanced aerodynamic design tools and methods
+ Assess and evaluate test and field measurements, as well as fleet and service feedback
+ Provide timely field service support and solutions to manufacturing or customer issues
+ Drive a team through tough technical challenges
+ Lead internal and external research and development programs including management of outsourcing specific tasks
**What You Bring**
+ University degree in Aerodynamics, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering required
+ 3+years of aerodynamic design/analysis experience with rotating components for turbo-machinery or similar applications, with a strong background in axial compressors
+ Advanced knowledge of computational methods, i.e. CFD using ANSYS CFX, and coding experience with e.g. python to automize your workflows and process your data
+ Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and enjoy working with colleagues from different organizations and cultural backgrounds. Must be highly motivated, detail-oriented with an innovative thinking mindset and willing to take ownership of the product.
