Position Summary:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Accredited bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with three (3) or more years of related experience.

Experience with a high level CAD system.

Our Drafter Designers develop, review, and evaluate fire sprinkler design drawings utilizing computer-assisted drafting (AutoCAD) equipment. In this role, you'll perform in-office design and collaborate with project managers and field technicians to ensure project success. Responsibilities include:
Become knowledgeable in fire codes to assist the sales and field technical teams.
Compile material lists, and submittal packages for design projects.
Perform hydraulic calculations following the specifications for each job.

What Skills Do I Need?

How you will make an impact:
Customer Engagement
* Collaborates with internal sales team, distributor partners and end-users to understand customer requirements.

Technical Design

Cross Functional Collaboration

What Skills Do I Need?

An associate degree or currently enrolled in a program in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or mechanical design-related field is preferred.
Previous Fire Protection or Construction industry experience is a plus, but not required.
AutoCAD / Drafting experience is required.
3-D modeling experience in programs such as Navisworks, Revit, or similar programs is desired.
AutoSprink by M.E.P. CAD, BIM modeling experience is a plus, but not required. We train those eager to learn!
