As a thermal modeling focused aerospace engineer, you will research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy and improve cutting edge products and services. These cover a wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft. You'll develop complex aerodynamic components, structures, and systems. Your technical duties involve the design and development, analysis, and test of new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle. Job responsibilities for this position will include: You will analyze and troubleshoot complex aircraft interior heat-transfer models, heat exchanger flow paths, and exhaust plume impingement problems within the NC3 business area. You will plan, schedule, execute, and report thermal analysis campaigns for transport-category aircraft to support other engineering disciplines. You will review and compile results from the analysis team and present findings and results to internal teams, leadership, and customers. You will work with the flight test and ground test teams to plan and reduce data from aircraft testing to validate the analysis models and/or show compliance to certification criteria. You will identify gaps within the existing thermal analysis workflows, assist with organizing training, and identify analysis tools to enable successful program execution. Skills: Must-haves: Knowledge of engineering principles and practices Experience using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tools to analyze aerodynamics and heat transfer problems for aerospace vehicles Experience analyzing free- and force-convection heat-transfer models for aerospace vehicle interiors Successful execution of thermal analysis in support of 14 CFR Part 25 Type Certification (TC) or Supplemental Type Certification (STC) or programs Understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams Ability to obtain/maintain secret clearance Preferred: Familiarity with testing to support thermal analysis model verification and validation Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry Understanding of system-level static and dynamic modeling and simulation Experience with Siemens STAR-CCM+ and/or FLOEFD preferred Knowledge of industry standard aerospace principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, fundamentals of flight mechanics Education: Bachelor's of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or other related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience

As a Design Verification intern in this group, you will be responsible for: Developing detailed verification plans while working closely with the design and system team to ensure pre- silicon verification success Developing test benches, tests and simulations to DUT behavior Running coverage regressions to meet the defined coverage goals for SystemVerilog functional coverage models of mixed-signal circuits for voltages and currents, real numbers, integers, and traditional digital functional coverage. Tracking and communicating verification status, issues, and concerns Work with regression tools and develop scripts to submit cases for regression analysis Utilize RTL and Gates+SDF, including verifying chip-level timing between analog and digital circuits. Constrained-random stimulus and auto-checking verification environments, especially constrained-random analog stimulus.
