This position will prepare 3D designs associated with Department of Defense projects at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, UT. This onsite role offers a W2 hourly base rate up to $90.00/hour with time and a half for overtime, per diem, and mobilization / demobilization. U.S. Citizenship Is Required. Interface with pipe stress and pipe support engineers, construction, and suppliers during the preparation of designs for the purpose of model/space control, etc. Perform coordination review of specifications and other documents prepared by others. Plans, develops, coordinates, and reviews design work within a small-size Plant Design and Piping (PD&P) design work group. Produces drawings and documentation in accordance with established design and scope including foundation design and steel detailing. Ensures PD&P systems designs comply with all applicable installation codes, regulations, and standards. Coordinates and interfaces as directed with the day-to-day technical work of PD&P engineers, scientists, specialists, designers, and drafters. Communicates complex technical issues and recommends solutions to upper management. Facilitates technical discussions with third parties (client, suppliers, regulators). Prepares or oversees the preparation of PD&P design estimates and work plan in accordance with project scope, schedule and budget, and manages implementation and performance accordingly.
