Job Duties: * Perform mechanical repairs on medium and heavy-duty diesel trucks * Perform all levels of Preventative Maintenance inspections and repairs * Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure they are properly working * Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment using testing equipment such as laptop computers, motor analyzers, temperature and pressure gauges * Identify warranty repairs and document properly on the repair order * Keep work area clean and safe * Other duties as assigned Desired Competencies: * Knowledge and experience with mechanics or a related field * Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair medium and heavy-duty vehicles * Detail oriented * Team Player * Flexibility to meet changing demands Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent * Valid CDL driver's license with clean driving record (preferred but not required) * 2+ years' experience as a Truck Technician or similar position (preferred but not required) Benefits: * Quarterly Bonuses * Health, Dental and Vision Insurance * 401K with company matching * Company paid Short-term & Long-Term Disability Insurance * Annual Boot & Tool Allowance We're an equal opportunity employer. Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks. Maintain a service van and its inventory. Process paperwork after completion of each job. Minimum Qualifications Less than 2 years related experience High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks. Preferred Qualifications Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics. Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills. Technical degree, previous lift truck repair, welding experience, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment preferred. Familiar with tools and equipment such as common hand tools, electrical/air tools, torch, arc welder and various types of testing equipment. Industry related training is preferred Ability to read and understand service manuals, plan, and follow-through Work Authorization: Crown will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States.
