The focus of the maintenance team is to keep equipment in the RDC fully operational. The RDC Maintenance Mechanic I is a knowledgeable repair person with exposure to and experience with RDC systems and building components. The Maintenance Mechanic I has specialist knowledge and complex repair capability in one of the following areas: conveyors, rolling stock, or building. Identify problems, determine accuracy and relevance of information, using sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and make recommendations. Assist Shop Diesel Technician I/II with diagnostics. Perform advanced diagnostics and triage of complicated repairs by Shop Diesel Technicians I/II. REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma/GED and 5 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and 3 years' experience; or 7 years' experience in a related field. Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
