What You Will Do: As a Coke Florida Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for scheduling and performing mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on all company fleet vehicles. Industrial Mechanic performs entry maintenance, fabrication, overhaul and repair of mechanical equipment located within a water, wastewater, or reclaimed treatment sewer pump station or LPSS facilities. Assists and/or leads crews in a broad range of preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and new equipment installations, and assists with planning and estimating costs of maintenance work. Salary $45,219 - $86,320 Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have prior experience in maintenance best practices and procedures that support the duties, responsibilities, and skill sets required of an Industrial Mechanic. This position deals with the maintenance of water, wastewater and reclaimed water equipment such as, but not limited to the following: submersible pumps, dry pit pumps, high head pressure mobile pumps, vertical turbine pumps, split case pumps, progressive cavity pumps, peristaltic pumps, rotary lobe blowers, centrifuges, conveyors, valves, piping, gearboxes, air systems, gas compressors, gas service turbine generators, grit chambers or manual bar screens and chemical systems such as those used in treating H2S gases, water treatment, and wastewater treatment within Water Resources Department systems and Plant Facilities. This candidate will be able to troubleshoot and repair any of the above listed equipment as well as perform predictive and preventative maintenance utilizing the following tools and technologies; perform alignments on pumps and motors, utilize laser alignment equipment on blowers and motors; be able to perform vibration and ultrasound testing on motors, gearboxes, pumps, and blowers with provided vibration and ultrasound tools. Candidate should possess advanced knowledge of preventative maintenance practices, procedures, and techniques for lubrication and greasing of all the above equipment. Responsibilities * Provide mechanical maintenance, including repairs and lubrication. * Repair and maintain air brakes, vehicle air conditioning, and hydraulics. * Repair and maintain truck electrical systems, i.e., 12v &/or 24 vdc. * Report equipment breakdowns to generate work orders. * Prepare work orders * Keeps the equipment being operated, clean and safe Qualifications * Able to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb to heights of at least 50 feet frequently. * Able to speak clearly and listen attentively * Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. * General knowledge of a trucks electrical system. * General knowledge of air brakes and their components. * Mobile AC repair and their components. * General knowledge of hydraulic components. * General knowledge of the drive line and suspension. * Able to work 12 hr. plus shifts as needed. * Able to work nights and weekends as needed. * HS Diploma or Equivalent. * At least 2 to 5 years' experience as a mechanic working on commercial trucks. * History of working safely
