A Service Technician is responsible for providing service to our customers while maintaining exceptional customer service. This can include: cleaning, maintenance, visual inspection, and removal of parts and attachments. Installation with the help of proper manuals, report writing, disassembly, assembly, parts reuse evaluation, and reconditioning.
This position is for a technician to work M-F. NO 24 hour Call Out. Regular predictable work week. No holiday call outs. Enjoy time with family when you should. We will provide the training to get International, Cummins and Eaton certified. We will provide a career and not just a place to work. Responsibilities
1. Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
2. Read job order, observe and listen to vehicle in operation to determine malfunction and plan work procedures.
3. Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and make adjustments as needed.
4. Tag all warranty parts and returns to warranty clerk.
5. Attend training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
6. Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer satisfaction.
7. Work a 40 hour work week each and every week.
Basic Qualifications
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
* Possess Own tools.
* 3 years fleet or dealership mechanic experience
*Abilitly to obtain a Class A or Class B license
*Desire to train and progress to the top
*Abiltiy to work in a team environment

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
As our Journeyman Truck Technician / Mechanic, you will work on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks in the shop ensuring repairs are done accurately and timely. All your hard work is geared toward supporting our customers and maximizing their uptime. When a truck is sidelined, you will be a primary member trusted to get it back in service quickly and correctly the first time.
This role demands both technical expertise and the ability to think critically under pressure. You will be responsible for analyzing and diagnosing truck malfunctions or system failures, then determining the best course of action to return the truck to peak performance. That may mean repairing or rebuilding cabs, steering systems, engines, transmissions, axles, differentials, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, or air systems.
Beyond repair work, you will also be expected to maintain and service trucks to ensure reliability, minimize downtime, and extend the life of each vehicle. The role requires not just hands-on mechanical ability but also sound judgment, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to deliver work that meets the highest standards of safety and quality.

WHAT YOU NEED:
3 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks, including engine repair, electronic trouble-shooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair.
Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred.
Basic computer knowledge. Cummins and MX software experience preferred.
Self-motivation and assertiveness.
Ability to work under little or no supervision.
Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
Must provide own tools.
