Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Diesel Mechanic Position Summary:
This position is required to safely and accurately perform general property and vehicle maintenance & repair duties in and around the shop operations in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge and understanding basic preventative maintenance and repair techniques of Class 5 through Class 8 commercial vehicles to include tank trailer inspection and maintenance related to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations is required.
Diesel Mechanic Essential Functions:
All fleet mechanic positions will be required to perform vehicle maintenance & repair duties safely and accurately in and around the shop operations in a fast-paced environment.
Fleet Mechanic Apprentices will receive hands on training and instruction on preventive maintenance/inspections/repairs of Class 5 through Class 8 Commercial Vehicles and maintenance/inspection of tank trailers.
Fleet Mechanic Levels I & II will learn and become proficient utilizing the company's maintenance software program to create and complete work orders and maintain work order/vehicle maintenance records. They will also train/assist other technicians in performing preventive/repair of facilities and equipment to include trucks, tractors, and trailers.
Fleet Mechanic Level III will build on the duties from Diesel Mechanic I/II and become qualified as necessary with appropriate certifications to perform new technology evaluations, diagnosis, and repairs.
HM183 will build on the duties of a Level III Diesel Mechanic, Certified as a (DOT) commercial motor vehicle inspector in compliance with FMCSR's
Has been signing test forms as the Registered Inspector for at least 3 years.

Chemours is seeking an Electrical and Instrument Mechanic to join our growing Operationsteam! This position will report directly to the Maintenance First Line Supervisor at our LaPorte, Texas location.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support production by performing diagnostics and repairs regarding all electrical and control aspects of equipment in a chemical manufacturing plant. The mechanic will diagnose trouble or malfunctions of equipment and then repair, maintain, replace and install all parts and equipment to return the process to normal operation. The mechanic applies working knowledge and experience to improve maintenance techniques and operations, and upgrade equipment.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Test, troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment and electrical circuits by using specialized instruments such as multi-meters, wiggies, clamp-on ammeters, oscilloscopes and frequency meters and computers
Install specialized troubleshooting equipment for diagnostics
Troubleshoot process control computer systems, including but not limited to DCS, Modicon & Siemens PLC, ControlLogix, and RSLogix using portable computers; troubleshoot temperature, level, and pressure control instruments and processors; troubleshoot AC or DC variable speed drives.
Perform High Voltage switching for Substation PM and repair work.
Check and perform preventive maintenance on motor control center equipment; repairs or replaces motors as needed.
Perform ISO calibration on gauges, temperature controllers, etc. - Calibrate gages, controllers, transmitters etc.; calibrate substation breakers occasionally; coordinate calibration of test equipment.
Utilize sensory instruments to aid in identifying issues. Utilize technical documentation (prints, manuals, specifications, etc.) to aid in troubleshooting.
Perform root cause analysis of failure and correct to prevent reoccurrence. Review previous failure modes to aid in discovery of patterns in root cause and bad actors. Follow up on repairs with observation and monitoring of equipment after it is in service to confirm effective repairs.
Develop, document, and perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks to improve mean time between failures (MTBF).
Perform alignment and calibration of instruments and electrical circuits to ensure proper operation.
Normal working hours are 6:30am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday.
In order to be qualified for this role you must possess the following:
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Two-year Certificate / Associate Degree in Instrumentation or two years of industrial E&I experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.) and able to learn new computer systems. SAP experience preferred.
Passing completion of a written test
Passing completion of a drug screening and physical abilities test
Willing and able to work overtime, including holidays, weekends, and on short notice call-in as required. Willing and able to work in a high hazard process.

Experience performing a job safety analysis and equipment lockout safety procedures.
Physical Requirements:
Willing and able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, ladders, columns, and to stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, crawl, reach overheads, hear and respond to alarms, and possess visual acuity for close work.
Willing and able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as steel-toed shoes, hardhat, Nomex, protective eyewear, face shields, arc protective clothing, and SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus).

At Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. The service area is twenty-six (26) square miles on the north side of Houston, serving both commercial and residential areas. The population served by the district is approximately 100,000. POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Fleet Technician, under the general direction of the Fleet Manager, will be responsible for all preventative maintenance and any and all repairs needed of the District fleet. Documentation of all repairs and organization and management of parts and tools is also required. This role will also assist in the maintenance of heavy machinery in and around the District.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• While always performing under the latest applicable laws, regulations and safety standards, our Fleet Technician will perform routine maintenance and repair on all District apparatus, vehicles, and equipment.
• Coordinating with Fleet Manager to schedule preventive maintenance and ensure fleet downtime is kept to a minimum.
• Coordinate with any outside vendors for parts and repairs, while maintaining parts inventory.
• Diagnose issues through visual, computer software and manual inspection.
• Troubleshoot and repair all electrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulic systems in all District fleet and equipment.
• Fabricate specialized items needed for storage, racks, and equipment, which may include welding, fabricating and assembly.
• Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance such as checking and replacing fluid levels, filters, lubricating parts, repairing brakes and a/c, rotating, and replacing tires, replacing belts and hoses flushing of fluids, washing of parts, apparatus, and shop, disposal of regulated waste materials and any other items as directed.
• Maintaining all documentation and logs for repair work, preventive maintenance, inspection, warranty, and all other recordkeeping requirements pursuant to National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and/or other regulatory agencies.
• Ability to operate and drive to and from destinations as assigned by Fleet Manager.
• Always maintain communication with Fleet Manager on status of fleet.

• While unlikely, the Fleet Technician can be requested at night or on weekends for an emergency repair.

Perform routine preventative maintenance on Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair MHE including, but not limited to: Liquid Propane, Gas and Diesel engines, Transmissions, Hydraulic Systems, Steering Systems, Electrical Systems, and Brakes.
Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications.
Provide Information and recommend services to the Sales team.
Manage work orders (paper and digital) for each job in a timely manner.
Perform hazard assessments and maintain a high standard of safe work practices and quality control.
Follow company and OSHA safety rules and guidelines. Avoid injuries and damage to property, loss of unused materials and clean-up of work area debris.
Completes all necessary company training in a timely manner.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:
Experience in repair and maintenance of: Electrical, Diesel and Internal Combustion Forklifts; Aerial Lifts; Lift Trucks; and other related material handling equipment. Minimum of 2 years is highly preferred.

Possess strong teamwork skills.
Ability to multi-task.
Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
