Come join us at St. Cabrini Nursing Home! We are a 304-bed, Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility founded in 1974 in continuation of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini's legacy of serving those in need through works of healing, teaching, caring and giving.
We are looking to fill the position of Dietary Aide. This is a 1199 Union position.
$24.29 per hour.
4pm to 7:30pm daily, plus Every Weekend.
Dietary Aide Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Previous food service experience not necessary. Will train.
Must be able to interact with elderly residents and their families.
Must have strong communication skills and ability to speak, write and read English.
Must be available to work every other weekend and holidays.
Dietary Aide Job Summary:
Prepare dining rooms for meal times.
Interact with the Residents, engaging and providing quality customer service.
Fill dietary orders requested by the Certified Nursing Assistants.
Clean the dining area after meals, restocking supplies as needed.

Overview

Job Description

The support is needed for Direct Nutrition Education, Farmer's Market Tours, Farmshare, Food MD, Recipe Club, and many other community nutrition experiences and opportunities. The Part-Time Public Health Nutritionist will report to the Nutrition Program Manager at the 788 Southern Blvd, Bronx, NY,10455 location. This is a non-exempt, part-time position, up to 28 hours per week including some Saturdays. Extensive travel on public transit is required for program activities (a monthly MetroCard is covered by the grant).
