Our hospital, which is located in the Walnut Creek area of north Austin, serves individuals who are struggling with depression, bipolar disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and other mental health concerns. We also treat individuals who have a primary mental health diagnosis and a co-occurring substance use disorder. Our inpatient options include age-appropriate programs for adults, and seniors. At the outpatient level, we offer separate programs for adolescents and adults. We are currently hiring Dietary Aides to work 3-4 days per week, weekends expected. Hours can be 6am-2:30pm and/or 11am-7:30pm. Our Dietary Aides are responsible for routine food preparation and delivery services of cold or hot foods in the facility. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Perform routine tasks related to clean up and sanitation of kitchen, dining or serving areas. * Properly prepare, serve and store food in accordance with facility policies. * Ensure compliance with state or federal regulations. * Prepare foods according to standardized recipes and approved menu. * Utilize service methods and food handling techniques to ensure quality. * Understand and apply the sanitation procedures needed to provide a safe and healthy environment. * Adhere to menu compliance, special diet compliance and report any dietary non-compliance, concern or complaint of patients to dietician, supervisor or manager. * Perform other functions and tasks as assigned. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: * High school diploma or equivalent preferred. LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS: * ServSafe Certification or similar food safety certification, where required by the state and facility.     Dietary aide job in Bastrop, TX

    Primary Responsibilities The Dietary Aide follows the direction of the Certified Dietary Manager and state guidelines to ensure that food is properly prepared, served to residents, and after meals are completed cleanup of the dining hall and dishes. Essential Functions * Assist with food prep and cooking following universal precautions and state/federal regulations * Preparing and serving beverages * Setting up and passing trays for meal service * Stocking snack cart * Bussing of tables and trays * Cleaning the kitchen work area * Dishwashing * Follow proper handwashing guidelines * Additional special projects or tasks can be assigned at times by the CDM or the Executive Director
