The Direct Support Professional assists residents to achieve greater independence, physical and emotional well-being, and spiritual growth. Personal care services that are assigned by a health professional may include observation, reporting and documentation of changes in status or in bodily functions. Perform or assist residents in domestic duties as needed (e.g., cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping). Coordinate and maintain resident's schedule (e.g., doctor appointments, professional team appointments and employment). Coordinate resident participation in leisure, recreational, volunteer and faith activities. Maintain records and complete documentation as required by Magnify of Central Florida, the Diocese of Orlando, Agency for Persons with Disabilities, Agency for Health Care Administration, and other applicable State or Federal government monitoring agencies (e.g., timesheets, mileage, petty cash, medication logs, visitor logs, Incident Reports, progress and service notes and implementation plan data). Adhere to resident behavior and health management plans (e.g., assistance with self-administration of medication, use of behavior modification techniques, dietary restrictions). Maintain a safe environment for the resident; prevent harm to resident, self, and others. Report any safety concerns to management in a timely manner. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of all common areas on campus by completing cleaning including (but not limited to): Sweeps, dust, vacuums, dry/wet mops, scrubs, strips, buffs, washes, rinses and dries all the various surface areas as assigned in a safe and efficient manner. Safely use cleaning products and materials according to the MSDS. Transport residents to and from work, and scheduled appointments and recreational activities in a safe and timely manner. Serve as a good role model to the residents. Maintain current certification as required by Magnify of Central Florida (e.g., CPR, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, certification for assistance with self-administration of medication, and all other required by Magnify of Central Florida policies and procedures). Conduct all essential functions in accordance with established policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Key Responsibilities: Welcome and assist guests with enthusiasm, providing information, guidance, and recommendations related to resort activities and amenities. Provide exceptional customer service to guests, welcoming them, addressing their inquiries, and ensuring their needs are met as it relates to Evermore core values: Easy on Purpose, Unexpected Delight, Service Savvy, and Insightful Innovations. Enforce safety rules and guidelines for all recreation activities including swimming, paddleboarding, use of fitness equipment, kayaking, slide, rope swing, and cliff jump. Monitor beach and water slide areas for potential hazards and take action to prevent accidents by properly reporting and following up with respective departments. Exhibit proper speaking and phone etiquette with the ability to communicate effectively, politely, graciously, and professionally with both guests and colleagues as it aligns to luxury service standards. Willingness to be trained in and execute First Aid, CPR, AED, and EAP response. Maintain and organize watersports equipment, including paddleboards, kayaks, life jackets, and other safety gear. Daily set up and break down of activities, beach furniture arrangements, rental operations, cabana set-ups, and other recreational equipment Oversee and assist participants in water activities, ensuring they have the necessary equipment and follow safety protocols. Provide instruction and guidance to beginners or those in need of assistance with paddleboarding, kayaking, and other activities. Assist fitness center users with equipment set up and general use while you ensure a safe and clean workout environment. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the beach area, fitness centers, and other recreational facilities. Manage inventory of rental equipment, keeping track of usage, and coordinating rentals and returns. This includes reporting inventory shortages regarding equipment, activity supplies, or general use items that are necessary for the success of your role as a recreation attendant. Ensuring accurate billing and compliance regarding room charges, credit card payments, and cash/tip handling. Work cooperatively with other recreation attendants and staff members to ensure a cohesive and enjoyable experience for guests. Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required. Facilitating, organizing, and running daily activity programs such as (but not limited to): crafts, nature walks, family games, pool parties, holiday events, scavenger hunts, kid's camps, snack service, and many more. Promote recreational activities and services to guests, encouraging participation and upselling rental equipment or additional services when appropriate. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to beach and water activities, safety standards and environmental protection. Collect towels & trash in work area to maintain a clean and presentable guest environment. All other duties as required. Education, Skills, and Experience: Must be a minimum of 16 years of age or older with current or completed high school education. Experience working/volunteering in an outdoor environment or with outdoor sporting activities. Must be able to swim. The recreation team works on and around the water which in areas can be up to 12' deep. Experience with paddle craft and/or willingness to learn. Lifeguard and or First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) required. Food Safety or RAMP certification (or willingness to obtain). Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, nights, early mornings, and holidays. Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language at a level sufficient to communicate effectively with guests directly and on a microphone. Ability to handle guest requests in a calm, professional, and empathetic manner. Adhere to property and company policies and procedures. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment and prioritize job duties. Physical Requirements: Able to safely lift, pull and push up to 50 pounds. Excellent physical and temperature endurance to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods of time, and participate in physical activities. Ability to swim in deep water and potentially perform water rescues. Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and reach periodically. Tolerance for hot and humid Florida weather conditions, especially when working outdoors. Ability to move swiftly and efficiently around the facility, including beach areas, pool decks, and gym facilities. Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills to interact with guests and colleagues. Ability to clearly communicate in an emergency to direct guests and ensure their safety. Willingness to adhere to strict regulations and enforce those regulations as necessary.
