Strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of basic processing equipment (pumps, control valves, tanks, heat exchangers (plate and frame / shell and tube), centrifuges, ion exchange, activated carbon beds, filtration equipment, evaporators, crystallizers, dryers, classification systems, packaging systems and process analytical devices (pressure, pH, temperature, conductivity, etc.) Perform routine work permitting as scheduled. Perform area lab analytical analysis (titrations, density measurements, process sampling as needed) Troubleshoot lab equipment as issues present themselves. Troubleshoot equipment/systems as required. Identify and implement solutions to recurring equipment problems. Communicate and complete detailed logs for shiftily items taking place. Assist I&E technicians and mechanics as needed / as asked. Must be able to identify the need for, and request engineering/vendor assistance as required. Communicate and work with other groups (process engineers, production technicians, quality control) as necessary to promote efficiency in problem solving and work scheduling. Required to clean up after jobs are completed / perform housekeeping as required in the area. Familiarize product, steam and airflows though out the area. Reporting into the Production Supervisor, this position is an entry level, full time position, and Operator is responsible for performing tasks and duties pertaining to the manufacturing and processing of resins and formaldehyde. Manual Chemical Process Operator II Clean, Temperature-Controlled Environment | Max Lift ? 30 lbs | Modern Facility The Manual Chemical Process Operator II is responsible for operating and monitoring PVD coating furnaces used to coat carbide and cermet inserts. This role is ideal for individuals with experience as a machine operator, chemical process operator, heat-treat operator, or similar hands-on manufacturing background. Training is provided for motivated candidates with strong mechanical or process aptitude. This position is performed in a modern, clean, temperature-controlled facility with strict safety and environmental controls. Key Responsibilities PVD Furnace Operation * Load and unload fixtures with product into PVD coating furnaces. * Verify product setup and ensure all components are properly prepared and clean. * Enter product weights, coating-cycle data, and required parameters into computer systems. * Start, monitor, and document coating processes. Equipment & Process Support * Clean fixtures, plates, and equipment between furnace cycles. * Monitor and maintain adequate gas supply; replace tanks as needed. * Check targets and melts to ensure sufficient material for upcoming production cycles. * Perform standard tests to validate coating thickness and adhesion. * Conduct batch cleanings at required intervals. * Operate secondary process equipment (e.g., parts blaster). Quality & Organization * Separate and organize product during setup and after processing. * Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work area. * Follow all operating procedures and notify supervisors of deviations. * Assist in problem-solving of furnace-related issues using learned knowledge and reasoning skills. Education & Experience * High School diploma or GED required. * Two-year technical degree preferred but not required. * Experience in machine operation, chemical processing, heat treat, or industrial furnace operation is helpful but not required - training provided. Work Environment * Clean, temperature- and humidity-controlled production area. * Dust collection systems in use throughout facility. * Safety glasses and safety shoes required. * Breathing apparatus available for rare emergency scenarios (e.g., furnace malfunction). * Hazardous gases monitored continuously for safety. * Noise levels below 85 dB (hearing protection recommended). Physical Demands * Standing for most of the shift (two breaks per 8-hour period). * Intermittent walking, reaching, bending, and light machine interaction. * Lifting limited to a maximum of 30-33 lbs (insert trays). Barrel operators are responsible for loading parts into the V-Barrel and placing tubs into the washer. They ensure all parts are clean, delaminated, descaled, and deburred. After cleaning, operators unload and gauge the parts to prepare them for the next stage in the process. Major League Baseball (MLB) will operate the Automated Ball-Strike System ("ABS") in all Spring Training and MLB ballparks for the 2026 season. The ABS Operator will collect critical data to support the system's performance and ensure its smooth operation. The ABS Operator will work from the press box and use a simple web application on an MLB-supplied device connected via Ethernet.
