Responsibilities:
Learn electrical trade craft from Lead Electricians while applying school-learned NEC code, electrical theory, calculations, and Ohm's Law in real life field settings.
Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, apparatus, and fixtures while in a de-energized state.
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with codes.
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
Work closely with other departments to ensure the proper transfer of all service work business data.
Maintain company vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and organization, both inside and out.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Indenture in an Electrical Apprenticeship greatly preferred.
Basic math and reading comprehension required.
Knowledge of electrical field concepts, practices, best practices, and procedures including the technical ability to understand and interpret Electrical Codes, Life Safety Codes, NFPA, Uniform Building Codes and Lighting Systems required.
Ability to work well with others and strong communication skills a must.
Must have appropriate trade tools.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

As directed by the Foreman or Leadman, the Journeyman is responsible for performing installations and helping direct Apprentices and Laborers on daily construction activity. He/she performs necessary electrical work in accordance with plans and specifications. Journeyman performs all tasks with some supervision but is able to stay on task and be productivity at all times. Work will consist of installation, alterations, additions and or/repairs of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the electrical construction industry. He/she is able to terminate cable and conductors, install and trouble shoot motor control wiring drawings and demonstrate experience, which exceeds apprentice level. The Journeyman will also maintain a level of safety on the project that ensures adherence and compliance to the JBI Health and Safety Manual as well as all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.

Job Preparation:
§ Review contract documents, plans, specifications and addenda
§ Set forth safe work practices in accordance with site specific safety plan

Responsibilities
KEP Electric, a division of IES Residential is currently seeking Electricians.
The Electrician installs, alters, adds and/or repairs electrical systems in New Construction Residential Homes & Multifamily Buildings/Projects.
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana with jobsites in and around the Indianapolis area
Hours: Full-Time
Responsibilities
Install, maintain and repair electrical systems for Residential Homes & Multifamily Buildings.
Residential and Multifamily Electrical experience required
Must have proven skill to interpret blueprints and other project documents
Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, and professional
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ensure and maintain safe projects to meet company and OSHA safety guidelines
Maintain personal knowledge of NEC Code & installed products
Ability to test and troubleshoot electrical issues
Complete rough-in to include measuring, cutting, and pulling wire
Quickly corrects any potential hazard or promptly reports the hazard to the responsible person
Communicate with others, including taking direction from a supervisor and able to give direction in a way that is understood
Qualifications
Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements:
Must have a minimum of three (3) years' electrical experience
Must have knowledge of the NEC Code
Must have Valid Driver's License

Highly knowledgeable of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the Electrical Construction Industry
