The Electrical Design Engineer will perform a wide variety of electrical magnetics design engineering duties, as assigned, that involve the preparation of electrical designs, modification of existing designs and related engineering changes for company-produced electrical transformer magnetics products. Responsibilities: Respond to customer inquiries, define product specifications and performance requirements, design and quote on modifications to existing designs in accordance with established Engineering policies. Collaborate with Senior Engineers or Manager on the more complex, unusual, or new designs. Design magnetic components and prepare proposals on price, delivery, and other related information for approval, as directed. Prepare specifications on approved prototypes and regular production requirements. Specify materials, provide coil winding operation sheets, assembly instructions, bills of material, and applicable engineering drawings, as required, for manufacturing. Process engineering change notices (ECNs) and submit for approval. Define design drafting requirements and approve prepared designs and layouts. Host outside Inspectors when visiting the plant. Participate in Engineering, Technical, and Trade Association activities to remain abreast of industry developments. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field. Over 3 years up to and including 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
