Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Collaborate with Senior Engineers to perform steady-state and transient Aero Thermal analysis and design of gas turbine engine components, including axial fans, compressors or turbines, combustors, augmenters or military exhaust systems, fuel nozzles, and secondary flow systems including heat exchangers and active combustor, turbine or exhaust system cooling. Assist in developing Thermal Boundary Conditions and correlation of Engine test data. Assist with documentation and presentation of analysis results and design work Communicate and work with disciplines such as controls, mechanical, aero, performance and materials engineering. Take directions from Senior engineers. Requirements (Education & Experience) : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerothermal Engineering or related field. Master's degree is preferred. 1+ years of experience in gas turbine and/or power generation components is a plus Desire to develop proficiency with CFD, heat transfer, and other modeling and simulation tools such as Fluent, CFX, ANSYS Mechanical, MATLAB Familiar with CAD systems, particularly NX is a plus Microsoft Office Products - Excel, PowerPoint, Word. Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts and rationale to cross-functional teams Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
