In this role, you will lead the design and development of advanced underground electrical and controls equipment for mining and industrial markets, ensuring the highest standards of performance and safety. Responsibilities + Lead the design and optimization of advanced power distribution systems (480V-35kV) for underground mining and other heavy-industry applications. + Manage engineering projects from concept through commissioning, including system architecture, component selection, and integration of PLC/HMI programming. + Prepare project cost estimates, develop customer quotations, and oversee schedules for bidding, design, and implementation phases. + Create and execute equipment testing procedures to ensure performance and compliance with industry standards. + Collaborate with mechanical engineers and cross-functional teams to resolve design challenges and support product development. + Mentor junior engineers and technicians, promoting best practices in power distribution and quality assurance. + Provide field support through troubleshooting, customer consultations, and commissioning activities, with occasional travel as needed. + Stay informed on emerging technologies and trends in underground power distribution.
