The Role -
As Senior Estimator, you will take ownership of full-cycle estimating from conceptual budgeting through final bid and GMP. You will work closely with preconstruction, operations, and executive leadership to ensure accurate, competitive, and strategic pricing on commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities -
Lead the preparation of detailed conceptual, schematic, and hard-bid estimates for commercial construction projects
Perform quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and subcontractor scope reviews
Develop and manage bid packages, solicit subcontractor pricing, and level bids
Prepare and present budgets, value engineering options, and cost alternatives to internal teams and clients
Collaborate with project management and operations during preconstruction and handoff
Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents for completeness and risk
Support GMP development and participate in client meetings when required
Mentor and support junior estimators as the team continues to grow
Project Experience -

Standard Work Schedule:

Position Summary:
The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for the bidding, documenting, and estimating adjustments to ensure quality project takeoffs in a timely manner.
Position Responsibilities:
Download and review all Bid Documents before setting up folders.
Schedule review meetings.
Perform equipment counts and understand the installation labor needed for each type.
Use different programs to select and create equipment/material lists.
Provide installation designs and equipment lists using builder/GC provided plans.
Create and coordinate takeoff lists of new projects.
Sending out RFQ's to vendors for quoted items.
Contact Vendors if quote comes back higher/lower than others that are closer together.
Verify correct date of drawings on the Proposal.
Verify all RFI's and Addendums are listed on Proposal.
Updating logs when a project is bid, lost, or awarded.
Updating Log when RFQ's are sent out and marking Awarded and NQ.
Respond to GC and Vendor Questions in a timely manner.
Following up on Bid Projects according to SOP.
Notify management when we are being considered for a project after a follow up conversation.
Schedule Handoff Meetings (timing varies based on Project).
Complete required paperwork to maintain relevant certifications on qualifying jobs.
Notify team of any issues with any forms.
Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required: 2+ years estimating experience or field experience.
Preferred: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and estimating software such as Wrightsoft.
Preferred: Experience in computerized/digital takeoff.
Must be able to work under minimal supervision.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Position Summary:
The Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for managing project specific plans, operations, changes, resource forecasting, risks, and customer relations.
Position Responsibilities:
Assist with critical layouts, manpower loading, and look-ahead schedules.
Develop detailed layout drawings for trade specific material, equipment, and units in 2D and Bluebeam for project use, distribution, and BIM coordination.

Perform routine inspections of the project to ensure compliance with scope, production, safety standards, codes, and company policies.
Provide well-informed and accurate cost and labor projections, ensuring adherence to contract documents and specifications.
Review and interpret plans, shop drawings, and project documents for all trades involved.
Oversee subcontracts by monitoring performance for conformance to contract agreements.
Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with managers, supervisors, fellow workers, vendors, and customers.
Guide and assist employees to identify, analyze, and resolve obstacles to meet project needs.

On a given day, as the Estimator for the Concrete Restoration Division, you will:
Project Estimating & Proposal Development
Estimate concrete restoration projects using personal expertise, FORJAK historical data, and One Source to prepare bid proposals and detailed cost breakdowns for internal and client review.
Review project plans, specifications, addendums, and related documents to prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracted work.
Perform accurate quantity take-offs using applicable software and established FORJAK processes.
Prepare clear written proposals, including scopes of work, clarifications, and pricing structures.
Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client walk-throughs to gather detailed project information.
Subcontractor & Supplier Evaluation
Solicit and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
Maintain strong vendor relationships to support project success.
Verify subcontractor qualifications and compliance with FORJAK's safety and quality standards.
Cost Analysis, Tracking & Reporting
