ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The duties outlined below are intended to provide a representative overview of the major responsibilities associated with this position. DUTIES: * Prepare and submit accurate and complete bids, budgets, estimates, and change orders assigned by management. * Using relevant experience and knowledge, exercise independent discretion in determining the amount of labor hours and amount of material necessary to complete a project, for the benefit of obtaining profitable work for the company. * Visit jobsites and attend pre-bid meetings as necessary for verification of site conditions and bid requirements. * Prepare professional, detailed proposal letters. * Ensure that bid deadlines are met. * Coordinate with Project Administrator for bid documents, and for vendor quotes. * Follow-up / negotiation via telephone with clients for contract award * Attend post bid reviews. * Other tasks assigned by management. KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS: * Able to use multiple software programs (Microsoft Office, Vista, Adobe, Procore, Accubid, etc.) * Ability to learn additional submittal/document control software platforms. * Knowledge of the latest version of the National Electric Code. * Ability to be organized. * Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. * Knowledge of ethical rules and regulations. * Treat suppliers in a fair and unbiased manner. * Work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment * Effective communication skills * Ability to work in a team environment. * Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with others.
