Our Client is looking for a Cost Engineer to join their Project Controls Team, supporting major Capital Projects at our Defiance, OH site. This contract position and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of the region's largest industrial development projects. The Cost Engineer will be responsible for cost tracking, forecasting, change management, and supporting overall project financial performance. This position will be 40 hour work week with approved overtime.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, track, and forecast Field Change Requests (FCRs)
Validate contractor invoices and reconcile with approved contracts
Support cost reporting, earned value analysis, and cash flow management
Review contractor schedules and assist with contract closeout activities
Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to maintain project accuracy and transparency
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience in Cost Engineering or Project Controls for industrial or capital projects
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with Oracle Aconex a plus

Essential Functions:
Operates and maintains the telescopes and instrumentation including computer systems
Understand, implement, and utilize optical equipment for laser and imaging systems
Assist in or perform optical design, modeling, and simulation for optical systems and custom optical devices at small and large scales
Conducts experiment planning and data collection in laboratory and real-world settings
Conducts data reduction and processing
Coordinates, trains, or works with a small team of aircraft spotters, laser and telescope operators, and data processors
Conducts effective and efficient customer relations that include regular meetings, status updates, and technical reports
Maintains and operates a laser system and other optical elements/devices for research
Provides general support services for optical and mechanical equipment as required
Assist in modeling and simulation for photonic crystals, metamaterials, and other research-level optical systems

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably related to the field of electro-optics, physics, or astronomy with a superior academic record
Knowledge of basic scientific principles and problem-solving skills normally obtained through a curriculum for a Bachelor's degree
Interest in and possess a basic/amateur knowledge of astronomy
Ability to work well independently and without close supervision
Ability to consult with senior scientists to maximize the scientific results of the experiments

We are seeking an experienced **Applications and Reliability Engineer / Electronics Test Engineer** to support our nuclear instrumentation and radiation detection product lines. This role is key in supporting pre-sales activities, ensuring technical compatibility, and maintaining product qualifications through engineering change processes. The ideal candidate will have a background in radiation detection systems and experience in reviewing legacy systems, specifying replacements for obsolete parts, and ensuring the integrity of updated systems.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Provide technical support to sales and business development teams by analyzing historical sales data for radiation detection systems in nuclear power plant applications.
+ Assess customer needs and recommend suitable products or solutions based on prior applications and performance records.

**Required Qualifications:**

The Senior Control Systems Engineer I is responsible for performing control system design, programming and start up on various industrial projects. The Sr. Controls Systems Engineer I will be part of a project team from inception through construction completion. Qualifications
BS in Engineering required; MS degree preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is desirable.
6+ years related engineering experience.
Deep understanding of PFD's and P&ID's.
Proficiency in ISA standards and PLC programming.
Demonstrable success in the detailed design of industrial process facility control system architectures, control systems, control panels, networks, software, and field wiring is required.
Significant experience designing, programming, and commissioning process control systems including PLC, HMI, DCS, and historian systems.
Expert proficiency with a variety of programming techniques (Ladder logic, Function Block, Structured Text, etc.)
Functional knowledge of various communications protocols (Ethernet IP, Control Net, Modbus RTU/TCP, Profibus, Profinet, etc.)
Expert proficiency with Rockwell Automation tools (Factory Talk View, Studio 5000, Historian, etc.)
Functional experience with equivalent Automation tools by Schneider, Siemens, GE and Wonderware is a plus.
Working knowledge of Variable Frequency Drive setup, programming, and troubleshooting (AB Powerflex in particular)
Fundamental understanding and experience designing and commissioning closed-loop control systems.

Summary of Position Functions
The Controls Engineer will quickly gain an understanding and working knowledge of Veregy's technology products and building automation systems. Proficiency in multiple IEC 61131-3 programming languages such as LD, ST, and FBD
Experience commissioning new control systems
Experience with Allen-Bradley controls - Logix/Studio and FactoryTalk View ME/SE
Experience with SCADA software is a plus (Ignition, Aveva, WonderWare, Indusoft)
Experience with AutoCAD or similar software is a plus
Working knowledge of the UL, NEC, NFPA, 70E, NFPA 79, Hazardous Environmental Class ratings and other technical codes
Strong desire to take ownership and drive results
Must have good judgment, be self-motivated, and be safety conscious
Ability to handle a variety of assignment and changing priorities
Ability to perform hands on work as required and work effectively on the shop floor with employees and processes
Understanding of Process Safety Management is a plus
Ability to occasionally work off shifts to support production
Ability to lead projects on plant and at satellite locations in US and Canada.
